90s is outrageously high. I don't know how you could function on it. When I was first diagnosed back in 2001, mine was in the high 60s. I was sleeping anywhere from 15-20 hours a day and my cognitive function was horrible. I had all the typical symptoms, but it took so long for anyone to catch them. This time around, I have absolutely no energy and want to sleep all the time, plus I'm forgetting words. That should have clued me in right there! But I had none of the other symptoms like hair loss or dry skin.
Anyway, I was talking to one of my best friends about it today and joked with her that I was too tired to try to find myself a specialist. She said that she is going to do the research for me and find me one that I can go to! Isn't that the sweetest thing?? I feel so fortunate to have good friends like that.
I had newborn twins and a 3 year old, I didn't have the option to sleep and yes I was exhausted but who wouldn't be

I actually went into the dr because I thought I had an ear infection, they found hearing loss and sent me to an ENT. The ENT was a total jerk but ran some blood tests. He kept telling me he didn't expect to find anything, don't plan on hearing from him for a couple weeks, total attitude. I walked in the door after my appointment and my phone was ringing, it was the ENT calling, personally, to tell me to call my OB, NOW. Of course I was a little concerned
. I hung up the phone and was about to pick it up to call my OB and it rang, my OB was calling. The first words out of her mouth, how are you even alive. Ok, now I am REALLY concerned.
. She said to get into her office, NOW. They ran more tests, got the same results, sent me to the Mayo clinic. The Mayo clinic dr's were saying "I've never seen a TSH this high". Not something you want to hear from a Mayo dr. I haven't had any issues since they got my dosage in the right.
They said they usually book at least two months out, so my doctor must have called at just the right time.
