Hypothetically... question about vacation package and AP

I have a FD vacation packaged with 2 day park hoppers booked for December with my sister.
Say I get an AP prior to that trip (just thinking about it but it probably won't happen)... in theory could I transfer my 2 day park hopper ticket over to my sister so she'd have 2 2 day park hoppers and could go a total of 4 days to the parks while I have an AP and can go whenever I want or is this something that would not at all be possible?
I know people say you could just save that 2 day park hopper for a future trip but I'd love to be able to transfer it to my sister so we can then go to the parks all 4 days we are there vs both having to upgrade ya know?

So you would add a trip before this planned one that would require you to buy the AP before you could upgrade your two day pass to an AP?

Yes I'd go before the planned trip but what I wanted to do was allow my sister to use my 2 day ticket in addition to hers so she would have 4 days in the park. I suppose I could just upgrade my 2 day ticket and not go prior but that would still give me the option to go every day of our trip but still leaves my sister with only 2 days which means I'd only go 2 days because I wouldn't go without her.

I know you CAN assign your ticket to her, but I don't know if you can do it before you get there since it is a part of a free dining package. If you can't assign it before you get there, then you can't do FP+ for those days. Perhaps the resident ticket guru @Robo has an answer?

However, you do know you're spending more to use two separate tickets than just upgrading her ticket, right?

Okay— I wasn’t sure why you would buy an AP and not wait to upgrade your tickets.

As as far as I know, tickets are transferable as long as no one has used them. So yes, you could.

But financially it would much more sense to pay for an upgrade your sister’s ticket and save your two day ticket for another trip. I guess if you’re never going to Disney again after your AP expires, then you might as well, but your ticket should be worth almost $100 more than the upgrade cost.

I didn’t think about that, and that’s probably true. But her sister would also only be able to do two days of FP pre-booked if she chose to upgrade her ticket when they got there.

The only way her sister could pre-book four days of FP would be if they changed their package to four day hoppers, so unless OP wants to have a four day hopper saved for a future trip, the sister will have to wait to book those last two days of FP.
