Hypothetical: You have unlimited funds - Where would you stay?

I'd stay in a Savanna View Suite at AKL and then at a Castle View in Tahiti at Poly.

Early May in a 2BR at BCV with daily housekeeping. Separate room for the kiddos, washer and dryer, kitchen, Stormalong Bay, oh my gosh!!! :cloud9:

Ifi the funds were still unlimited the next year, I'd do a 2BR at AKL with daily housekeeping. Probably in mid October so free dining is done but Food & Wine is still going strong.

By the third year, the new DVC at Contemporary will be done, right? That's where I'd go next, this year at the holidays.

See the common thread? I have to say one of the things I enjoy most about vacation is coming back to a clean room. If we ever buy into a timeshare, it will have to be one that offers daily cleaning for a reasonable charge.

This was a great thread to read and really fun to imagine!

Don't they have some super-duper $3,000 a night rooms hidden somewhere?

I remember in the 90's when it was Michael Jackson or some Saudi Prince that was always getting the $7,000 a night room?

Where are those?

We would go for 2 weeks in February, probably for mom's birthday and stay at the GF, nothing too fancy, but during AP rates (I'm still a bargain hunter). We would eat at Artist Point, O'hana, and Chef Mickey's just to name a few. We would do several of the park tours, I would let my DH do the most expensive Petty's Driving Experience, tour all of the resorts, go on a shopping spree at DTD.

Suzanne princess:

From Thanksgiving til New Years in a grand villa at the Boardwalk! :cloud9:
(hey- I can dream!)

Ok if Money were no issue:

I'd go at the end of January for my birthday

Me and DH would spend about 10 days there with the first four or five days at the Contemporary in the

Then we'd spend a couple of nights in the King Kamehameha suite at the Polynesian and a couple of nights relaxing in the Presidential Suite at WL.

I figure we'll so contemporary for the days where we'll be hitting the parks the heaviest and then be able to slow down and relax a bit at Poly and WL.

Dinner at the Chefs Table at V&A. We'd do a Wishes cruise, have dinner at the Cali Grill and spend a fortune at the gift shops so we could bring back presents for everyone we know (most of whom dont understand why we love WDW so much). Actually, since we'd have money to burn, we'd take the family and anyone else we know who wanted to come.

We'd chase this Disney vacation with a week long cruise on Disney Magic.

Two weeks in May, Sept. or Oct. A week at Poly, week at Boardwalk. Nice dream. :cloud9: Can't imagine it'll ever happen!

I had to join in on this. Unlimted funds people that means money to burn

A Moderate, with unlimited funds - NO WAY!!!!

1st Choice - King Kamehameha suite at the Polynesian.
2nd Choice - Presidential Suite at the CR
3rd Choice - Walt Disney Suite at the GF

debaone and Roo'smom had the right idea with the Grand Villa at BWV.

That's using unlimited funds. Washer and dryer - who needs it use the valet :laundy: service. Separate room for the kids - I believe the above are 2 bedroom suites, if they're not, I'll get the adjoining suite and hire a nanny to keep an eye on them. We've got to think BIG here.

2 seperate plans here......

1. I would love to go with the WHOLE family, sister, BIL, SIL and all their kids. We go often because of our DVC, but SIL and her 4 kids have never been, it would be great to have them come with us......were talking about 22 people here !! We would have 2 grand villas at OKW..maybe add 1 more 2 bdrm for my family of 5 (will need some peace and quiet!!:coffee: ). We would spend 2 week with ADRs at Boma, 1900 Park fare, Chef Mickey, Poly Luau, Hoop, Primetime, plus plenty more. Just a great family trip sharing our favorite place!

2. Other trip would be something different for our family of 5.....10 days at GFR concierge level in Dec and then 10 days at AKL in Oct and then 10 days at Yacht/Beach club in May. We would do different things at this time...segway, KTTK tour, etc. But we would spend lots of times enjoying the resorts and all their ammenities

I'm so used to planning WDW in a tight budget that I would probably ask a CM to help me decide where to stay and for how long because I know almost nothing about the super-nice suites and stuff. (thats one of the reasons I thought this thread would be fun)

:tink: Ok I really Love that I found this Disney site!!! This is great!
I live in Cali and we have Aps for Disneyland but have been to Florida for the first time ever in August 2006!!! We won a trip there via a McDonalds sweepstakes!!!!!....Boy they should have thrown in the money for life time visits to DW because I am hooked!!! Love Disneyland but Love Disney World even more!!!
We are even thinking about moving to Florida just so we can go there all the time!!
Next we will be joining DVC at the end of 2008 but have another trip already book for Dec 2008 to DW and we are staying at the AKl....WOOOOO HOOOOO Can't wait!
Our first trip we stayed at the Boardwalk Villas!!! Loved it ther and would say to stay there as well!!! I really just think it all depends on what type of mood in your surroundings you are looking to have during your stay! With so many choices it makes you feel that you had a couple of months to burn up because then you could go and stay a week at each of the Deluxe and Villa resorts! Can you tell I like the deluxe and villa stays??

Anyhow for anyone needing advise on where to stay for a Disnyland (California stay) Hands down it's DGC (Disney's Grand Californian)
Best place ever and they really treated us like celebs.
Anyhow I am going to go and surf around and try to figure out how to get all my stats to show up in my sig area and ten put a pic on the side for my user name because now that I found this site I will be posting very often!

Oh and one quick thing I thought I might ask to some of you WDW veterans......we are staying at the AKL next year and I wanted to know if the quick serve meal place called The Mara is any good?

I have a daughter who was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder just months ago called Celiac and she has been so sick and lost 20lbs over the summer and the big part of this disorder is that her diet has been very much so altered for life in that she cannot have the protien Gluten found in so many of the foods out on the market and in many other products as well or she gets very ill and her immune system attacks her digestive system and destroys it so that her body can no longer absorb the nutrients form any foods (that is why her weight loss)
Anyhow sorry for the long book on that but we have realized that going out is going to become very difficult for us because of how many foods she can no longer have nor can she have te kind of foods she can have if they were cooked on or prepared in something that was previously used to make items that contain this protien.
So do any of you know what AKL or DWW is like as far as helping those with this kind of dietary need so that my daughter does not become as she calls it glutinized during our stay and feel very ill for entire time???
Thanks for that info if anyone has it.
Well glad to meet you all and find this board.....TTFN!:tigger:
You will be seeing me around often!

my 15 yo nephew was diagnosed with Celiac so I kinda know what you're going through with the foods. Now a days, there are resturants that are gluten free. Web-sites that have only gluten free products. Whole Foods has a great selection. It is alot of work, but since being diagnosed about 3 years ago, (he was very very small for his age). by following the proper diet, he is right there with the rest of his buddies. Actually the star of his soccer team too.

WDW is FANSTASTIC with allergies. DD7 has life threating peanut allergies and dining at WDW is a place where I don't have to worry. The chef comes out at each restuarant and tells us what she can and can not eat. They will even prepare something special for her if they hand an inkling there was cross-contimination.

Enjoy.

Cindy's Mom thanks so much for the wonderful information you have given me! I had really started to worry about the food part of our trip! It was very interesting to see someone here with a love for Disney (like our family) but also the knowledge about Celiac!!
My daughter was diagnosed 2 months ago after being very ill at the age of 11 after going form 82lbs to 62lbs and down to a size 8 in childrens in 7th grade! Its been very scary with her because the DRs are saying that everyone gets ill in diff ways with the disorder but that she is pretty severe and pretty sick from this! She still has not shown any improv at this point even after being on the GF diet for 2 months so they are running some other tests on her. She is teribbly deppressed (sp?) and I am hoping that a focus on our trip next year to WDW will keep her mind on other things!
Anyhow thanks so much for your info and I am now going to not let that be a worry for me at all!
I guess all I have to do is ask to speak to the chef or do they just tell him/her to come out if I tell them my daughter has strict diet needs so she does not get very ill?
Alright like I have said before and I am sre will say again and again and again TTFN but not for long because did I mention that I love this place!

1st Choice - King Kamehameha suite at the Polynesian.
2nd Choice - Presidential Suite at the CR
3rd Choice - Walt Disney Suite at the GF
.

Can someone post photos of these super rooms at Disney?

.

It is a tough choice. For me it would be between the Poly with a Magic Kingdom view or the Contemporary with a Magic Kingdom view. If I had my sis's kids with me, I would probably go with the Contemporary. Being able to walk to MK is such a huge plus! But then again, they liked the Poly too.:goodvibes My choice would have to be a split stay between the two resorts, 7 days at each.

Ideal would be 2 weeks at Poly with dinning plan. I love the atmosphere there. I would also want my entire family to be there. Mom, Dad, and Brothers with their families.

DD(12) votes for 1 month at Riverside with dinning, and dinner every night at Kona Cafe in Poly.

If only dreams like these could come true:goodvibes

Most definetly AK! I had a savannah view before and absolutely loved it. It has a wonderfuul view and the pool wasnt crowded.

If money is no object, I want a grand villa at BWI for three weeks!

I found these images on Luxurty Disney Guide:
