You've moved to the Orlando area, have a Monday-Friday 9-5 job, and naturally bought an Annual Pass. How often per month do you go into the parks and for how long?

Probably 3-4 times a week. 2ish evenings during the work week and a day or so on the weekends. During the week it might just be to eat or people watch, on the weekends I'd probably spend a little more time.

If I didn't have to be at work early, I'd probably go for a nighttime parade or show (and a few attractions if I have time) once or twice a week. Probably spend the day there every other Sunday or once a month.
If I was close enough, I might try to run on property once a week ... but that's really only if I live 5-10 minutes away. Any further and its not worth it.
I'd also get a Universal AP and try to hit up Universal at least once a month, maybe visit CityWalk occasionally.

If I ever move to LA (which is something I've thought about, but haven't really pursued), I'd probably do a short weekend at Disneyland once a month and the occasional nighttime visit. Much as I'd like to be there more, I feel like that's not a commute I'm going to want to do too often.

Probably most Friday nights, maybe Thursday too. Depends how far away I live. Every other weekend at least.

I don't have kids and I never bring work home with me. Some people seem to have endless errands but I really don't, so I could see myself going quite a bit.

How much free time do you have now and how do allocate that free time to things you enjoy?

If you love to read...how often to you devote several hours to sitting and reading?

How often do you visit the parks, attractions, beaches etc.

I'm the opposite :); I have a kid (so weekend and some after school activities), I end up with work at home on occasion (although I really try not to), and I do end up with a bunch of errands (but I think I invent some of those to keep myself from getting bored :)).

I think we'd end up going 2-3 times a month. Possibly each park once a month? In the summer, we'd end up at the water parks all the time.

My heart wants to say I'd be there every day after work.

My head says maybe one weekday and one weekend would be tops.

I am sure I would go a few times a week to start but then it would probably drop to a few times a month - more often for Food and Wine/Flower and Garden

Best thing would be that if the mood struck I could go over. Like I saw @WebmasterJackie past she saw people post about 45th festivities and hopped in the car and made the unplanned trip - I'd love to be able to do that

We moved from PA to about 45 minutes from WDW. We have been going about twice a month. We go to the beach almost every weekend.

I love WDW. We are currently AP holders and have been 3 times in the past 11 months and will go a 4th time in December. No trip is long enough in our opinion.

All of that said, realistically, if (when) we live in the Disney area, we won't be on vacation. It will be our regular life. We will need to do all of the same things that occupy our time today in NJ. I'll still be just as tired when I get home from work in the evening, not raring to go trek around a theme park.

So given the 9-5 job criteria in your hypothetical, I'd say we'd probably only go a couple of times per month.

HOWEVER, it is my hope that if and when we do move to the area, which we would love to do, I'd be able to cut back my work hours. If you change the scenario to perhaps a 20-hour work week, then my estimate of time spent at Disney would definitely go up, especially in the cooler months and the relative "off" seasons when the crowds aren't quite as bad.

If I lived in Orlando it would be once a week then I can see going to once a month and then once every few months...I love love Disney, but I without a doubt can see Disney fatigue creep up on me if i lived there

I would say a couple times a month (depending on the time of year). Fall, Winter and Spring yes, Summer not so much... Also I would probably go on weekends as a last resort (even though it makes sense working m-f).

When you first get here, it'll be rather often but then you'll start to adjust. You're life will balance out to be very similar to the amount of entertainment you had before you moved. Life still takes the same amount of time. disney food is still borderline good and overpriced to eat there a lot. your less tolerant of bad weather and heat and don't want to do disney in it sometimes. Parties and events aren't cheap. And then you have that you live there, there is many other places to visit and do things including universal and things. Central florida isn't one of the largest tourist areas for no reason and you get to explore them all. I'm just getting to the point now that i'm experiencing florida more than I'm experiencing disney. There is days I wanted to go but disney was closing early or only emh for more than an hour there. It was going to ran the next hour or two and then only be nice for the last hour.. you have an early morning and being out til 10 + time to get home wasn't possible that night.

The other side of things is your having a bad day and just need a pick me up. Something you like is suddenly going to close or somethign just opened. There is random events like I really enjoyed the august art month at springs and went in a lot for that. A lot of stuff opened since april that I wanted to do sooner than later. Some I enjoyed and did many times over a couple months.. MSEP last parade is sunday, I'm not going to miss it.. BTMR refurbed, i got on that 1 more time.. etc etc etc etc.. Family and friends are going to visit you out of nowhere. your moving will remind them it's time to go again and they all want to hit the parks with you.

It comes full circle eventually and your balance of work and play before you moved gets back to normal.. Just sometimes disney or diagon alley is where you play or eat out now..
