Hypnosis

So I have the opportunity to be hypnotized. I think it would be totally cool. But still I'm kinda leary. The guy that does it, makes it so you remember everything.
Has anyone ever been hypnotized? What did they ask you? Recommend it or regret it? Anything I should know?...

Never been. Basically in hypnosis, you never lose control of yourself. you know full well what you're doing and you can stop if you want to.

Someone tried to hypnotize me once. It worked on lots of other people but it didn't on me. Some people are just more resistant to hypnosis.

In my AP Psychology class, we breifly studied a bit on hypnosis while studying something else. WE hvaen't got into big details yet but we watched a tape of last yyears class getting hypnotized....it was quite funny he didnt have them do much he just put them into a sleep state etc over and over again. I would do it....is it a guy from school or something, i dont know if i'd let anyone hypnotize me but if it was a school thing i would prolly.

I have never been hypnotized. I think that it's a bit hokey actually. So many people probably just pretend.

ive had the opportunity. then my science teacher happened to mutter something about "making sure we didnt have that many shocking secrets" and that turned my hypnosis experience to zero. im a gal that knows when she has skeletons in her closet that shouldnt be brought to light. not saying thats what hypnosis does, i know it was just meant as an off-hand comment. but still. dollfie is a chicken. yup.

Yah its for a psych class at school. He's been coming for 10 years, so he must be somewhat trusted.

As for the whole secrets thing; I wouldn't call them secrets, just stuff people don't know. I might have to put some thought into this one.

It was an event at camp. Only two people claim that they can't remember anything. It is like sleeping.


Fact: An hour in hyponis (sp) is like 8 hours of sleep.

I used to have really bad anxiety when I was younger. So my mom took me to a hypnotist, and she tried to do some sort of hypnosis. I think it was mostly to relax me, but it totally didn't work. The lady was so nice, so it was hard to break to her that I was totally awake, and wasn't under any spell or anything at all (I was nicer than that, though)
