Hydrotherapy Spa Bath? Recommend it?

I was reading about the hydrotherapy bath, and thought it sounded pretty nice... Has anyone done this treatment? Is it worth it? Would you reccommend it? I was thinking of doing the hydrotherapy bath and adding on the rainforest room during my day at sea..

I was disappointed in the hydrobath. I did it several years ago and it was great--- they personalized the pattern of the jets and really pampered you. This time, they just filled the tub and turned the jets on. That was it.

On the other hand, I LOVED the alpha capsule. Now, I didn't feel like I'd had a full night's sleep. But I was VERY relaxed and comfortable. It was very soothing. I'd suggest doing it on a sea day when you get the added bonus of the rocking of the ship. It was awesome!!!!

We have hydrotherapy tubs at the Spa where I work. It is essentially a jetted tub. You soak in water infused with aromatherapy oils and salts. I am a huge fan of long soaks in wonderful tubs, but you can basically do the same at home.
Now, the Rainforest Room is an absolute must. If you are going on the 7 day voyage, try it early on and then take advantage of the discounted week - long package rate.

Since the tub at the Vista Spa is so very large and deep, it is much more relaxing than my tub at home (plus the moving jets are wonderful). I really like this treatment.

I love the capsule though and could do it several times on a cruise and never have enough time in it!

Yes, Rainforest Room - Mom and I spend a lot of time there and it is just wonderful.

Please remember that the basketball court is directly above the Vista Spa and you can hear the noise when it gets busy. That's the only design flaw of the entire ship as I recall.

But I really liked the capsule. I did them back to back on the first day (after a 14 hour drive) The tub was really just OK, they didn't do anything to adjust the jets.

The capsule is hard to describe. You are fully dressed the capsule encloses you, except your head. It is warm and kinda vibrates. They give you earphones with either music or nature sounds I can't remember now. They place an eye pillow over your eyes and the capsule does it's thing. It is very, very relaxing.

Now, if you ask me where my spa money is going next trip it will be for a seven day pass to the rainforest room. Then the surial (at my husbands insistance Then possibly the capsule or a massage on the first day as we are doing another long drive before boarding, it depends on if my nerves or my back is more frazzled by the trip.

I thought I heard they discontinued that service recently (hydrotherapy bath). I'll let you know when I get back from my cruise next week. I've had it done at a day spa near me and loved it.

It's hard to describe what it's like, but it's the most comforting, relaxing and restful 20 minutes you will ever have (at least that's my opinion).

It's an egg shaped structure that closes on you except for your head. It cocoons you in warmth, and scent (lavender for me) and vibrates. You have your eyes covered with a warm cover and headphones on (wonderful soothing music). I never fall asleep but I get very, very relaxed and never want to get out.

I agree it's one of the best things to have done as soon as you get to the ship because it takes all the tension away and you feel very refreshed afterwards.

Just back from the Wonder, and I can confirm that the hydrotherapy bath is definitely gone from both ships. The space was converted into an additional tfreatment room, so even tho' people who enjoyed the bath (like my hubby) will miss it, it means an extra massage appointment is available.

kpgclar...with the Rainforest you wear your swimsuit. There are 3 different sanas and 2 flavored showers and 4 warming chairs. It was very relaxing!

The Rainforest is just wonderful. And I love the Chakra capsule.
I still think that they should return the hydrotherapy bath, but obviously it's more cost effective for them to use the room as a massage room.

Take two swimsuits - one for the pool and one for the Spa, that way you'll always have a dry one!!!

Actually, we bring three...one for the spa, one for the beach, and a spare one for hot tubbing, as those adult whirlpools will bleach your suit like super-powered Clorox. On one trip, hubby started off with a brand-new pair of blue trunks, and by the end of the cruise it had bleached out to a weird shade of orange!
