Looks like now we won't get into mco until later Sat night - so will see if the rates at the Hyatt are reasonable - then get a town car to ship Sunday am.
What other lodging choices should I look at?

Anyone else doing this?

Thanks
Taiko

Check out Hotwire, where we often get the MCO-area Amerisuites for around $33. If you are willing to gamble, you should be able to get a three star (and definitely a two and a half star) MCO hotel via Priceline for around $28. Through them we've gotten two different LaQuintas, the Marriott, and Rennaissance, and I think one more that I don't recall. Out of all of those, only one was kind of icky (one of the LaQuintas). They have a free shuttle from the airport, and then we take Happy Limo to Port Canaveral in the morning. A continental breakfast is also included. And you'll want to check out Dave's site at www.dcltribute.com because he has lots of great lodging info.

Just be careful about the time you arrive. When you say late, how late? Some of the shuttles don't run past a certain hour. I once found that out the hard way. Yuck. :(

All hotels serving the MCO market offer complimentary shuttles. Most of these shuttles run 24/7 although some of the smaller properties, as mcnuss noted, don't run during the wee hours. A shuttle wouldn't be an issue with the Hyatt since it's right inside the airport terminal.
