Has anyone stayed @ the Airport Hyatt before or after WDW? Are there only runway or inside the airport views?? Do all the rooms have balconies?? How does the checked luggage work when staying @ this Hyatt? Will we have to back track to our bags checked?? Any pros & cons will be nice. Thanks so much. :goodvibes :goodvibes

There are both views available. Going off of memory here, but I believe some of the rooms have a balcony that overlooks the atrium, but don't quote me here...

We stayed before heading to Disney coming in on a early evening flight. We got our our bags from baggage claim but I believe the hotel staff will take care of that for guests.

We had a room that overlooked the atrium. It was interesting to watch the lines for security early the next morning. We had a balcony.

Food choices were rather limited after 9:00 pm. The pool on the roof is really pretty. We went and sat out there after we ate. The pool lighting at night is very tropical looking. No where in the hotel did we ever hear the airplanes.
The bed was really comfortable!

When coming to FL on a later flight we like to stay at the Hyatt then grab our rental car early the next morning and head to WDW.

I thought there were only interior views but I'm no expert here. You may enjoy this photo from our room.

We picked up our baggage and brought it to our room then brought it down to ME in the AM.

Thank you everyone! I appreciate taking the time to help me out!. Great pic by the way & I'm excited that the bed was comfy. :goodvibes

We stayed for one night on arrival from the UK. The receptionist asked us if we wanted a runway view or atrium view, so we plumped for runway view.

We saw planes taking off, but could not hear any noise from inside room. We went to the food court in the airport Pool is very nice too.

Thanks, I was just wondering about weather we could access the food court from the Hyatt. That will be perfect so we'll have many choices for whatever we are in the mood for. We plan to eat on our balcony & relax our last night in FL. I'm actually really excited to stay here, now. It will be cool to see the planes take off, something different.

Yes, you can get to the airport food court. It's in the main terminal, before security. There are also a couple of sit-down restaurants there. Many of the restaurants close down at something like 9 or 10, but I believe the MacDonalds stays open 24 hours. It was certainly open at 1 when I was there last week. The Starbucks by the gate 60 to 12x is always open too.

I love Hyatt and try to stay there when I've got a flight that leaves early or kind of early. The prices can get a little high though, and I only stay if I can get a reasonable rate. I usually end up with a room that faces out and love the view. But, the inside rooms are nice too.

Sweet! Thanks for the info. We might want a table service place. I was just glad to know we will have dinner. It's also nice to know there is starbucks for a decent coffee.:thumbsup2 I have to say, the price was a little high but it's vaca for us, so why not? I have always thought it would be cool to stay here, so I'm excited.

Happy 2012, did you enjoy your stay? Did you get the atrium view or the runway view? Did you get the good dinner that you were hoping for?

I was wondering how much noise coming up from the terminal was a problem since the need to make the windows much more shatter-proof could offer noise protection for those facing the runways.

Stayed at MCO Hyatt last October after our WDW trip in prep for an early AM flight home. We had an atrium view room w/balcony.....I think we were on 3rd level of hotel......not sure. It was great to just get on the elevator in the early morning and head downstairs to go thru security for our 7:30 a.m. flight. I booked thru LastMinuteTravel.....I believe Hyatt is listed at 4 stars on the website....there are only a few airport hotels at 4 stars......LMT doesn't give you the name of hotel, but, the Hyatt is a dead giveaway (at least it used to be....don't know if they're currently using the same pictures on website) since from some of the rooms shown you can see the runways in the background and also I believe there is a rooftop pool (?) which I have not actually seen in person since we arrived about 10:00 p.m. to check-in and left very early the next a.m. but others have said the pictures shown on LMT's website of the pool are also a dead giveaway that it's the Hyatt. I believe the price I got from LMT was about $130 for the night.......this about 3 weeks before our trip.

I'll let you know when I travel. Just in the planning process yet. But looking forward to it!!

Thank you for the info Donna! You got a fantastic rate!!! Note: 3 week tip, I'll keep that in mind for the future!

Big fan of the MCO Hyatt. Family and I stayed there last summer before our early morning flight home. We had an inside atrium view room. DD loved sitting on the balcony and watching the hustle and bustle. We had dinner in the hotel. The pool was closed due to T-storms. We flew jet-blue and got to our gate without any hassle or having to rush.

Love it!!! Sounds so much easier this way.:thumbsup2 a good way to relax on our last night in Orlando.

We will be staying there in October for our late night flight into MCO. If I remember I will post all the information I have when we get back!

We are staying there Dec. 21st, the night before our cruise departs, and since we arrive early morning on the 21st, any idea about the "early checkin" process? Would be pretty boring sitting around an airport waiting to check in (or perhaps we are allowed to use pool facilities before checking in?)

I would call them the day before...doesn't guarantee you anything, but it still could help. Perhaps they will try and block a room left open for the night before and you'll get lucky:thumbsup2

I'm sure they have a place to hold your luggage even if a room is not ready yet. I have never been to a good hotel that will not hold your luggage if you are early.
