Hyatt Regency, Anaheim Marriott or Embassy Suites?

We're planning a trip to Disneyland in early October 2012. We are bouncing back and forth between the Hyatt Regency Orange, Anahiem Marriott Suites or the Embassy Suites South? We are a family of four. My husband snores and we have two boys ages 8 and 12. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The embassy suites would solidly be my first choice, a the closer to the parks Marriot a second.

I would pick the Hyatt Regency. It is a much nicer hotel than than the other two, and if you need more room they have the "suites on sale" promotion going on. They have their own designated shuttle as well (not ART public bus). The bus leaves every half hour.

There is a Starbucks in the hotel, and the pool areas are very nice.

A sleep study would be my first suggestion. No kidding, my dh was a horendous snorer and just had a sleep study (we had the same problem in hotel rooms - everyone refused to sleep in the same room as him) and has obstructive sleep apnea, now has a mask = problem solved!!!

Anyway, the Hyatt is a nicer hotel, but we had a bad experience there and I think others were with me on Tripadvisor.com that Hyatts just generally have poor customer service. I much prefer the Marriott and Hilton chains and we stay at either the Residence Inn or Homewood when at DLR. We'll be at Homewood in a couple weeks. We still like the extra room and kitchenette. They both offer complementary hot breakfasts 7 days a week and light dinners weeknights. October will probably be busier though, so I'd try to choose a walking distance hotel or if you aren't in a great hurry, it's a bit of a chance at times to rely on the ART. Homewood does have their shuttle too, I believe they share with another hotel.

I can't compare to the other two, but I've stayed at the Embassy Suites on Harbor. They use the Anaheim Resort Transportation, which is OK. It is kind of a problem when lots of people are trying to get on at the end of the day. The full breakfast is great! It gets you on your way fast so that you don't have to stop in the park for something to eat and the choice of foods is great. As far as the separate rooms, if you got a room with the pullout couch in the living room and two queen beds in the bedroom, you could banish your husband to the pullout and the rest of you in the bedroom. I've slept on the pullout a couple of years OK, and for one person it was OK.

You can my review with pictures of Embassy Suites South from several years ago. Just click on the link in my sig. We loved it! If only I could pick it up and move it closer to DLR! We did not take ART, we took our car and parked there. I hate buses and prefer to come and go on my own schedule.

We just returned from the Marriott and had a great experience. Great location, easy walk to the parks, and closer than the Hyatt. Rooms were nice, Starbucks and a market in the lobby as well as a couple other restaurants. I can't compare to the other two, but I don't see how you'd go wrong. I did a full review here if it helps...

Thanks for all your reply's,. They've helped a ton!

AND

I have tried everything to get my hubby to get a sleep study to no avail. He thinks he's perfect since he can't hear himself snore. Oh well....:sad2:
