Can someone give me some info on this hotel? I used priceline.com for the 1st time today and this is what I got. I am SO not happy. Has anyone stayed here? What was it like?
The address is

6375 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway
Kissimmee, Florida 34746

Thanks!

I stayed there a few years back. It wasn't horrible, it wasn't great. It is no where near worth what they charge rack rate for (over 100.00 per night), so if you got a good deal with Priceline it makes it more acceptable.

It is layed out in clusters of buildings that are all 2 stories tall with inside entrances. It borders on I-4 on one side of the complex so make sure you request a view of one of the courtyards if you don't want to overlook the expressway. Almost all the rooms have showers and do not have bathtubs, if that matters to you. I really don't consider this hotel to be what I normally think of when I hear Hyatt, but more like a Holiday Inn. It is pretty close to Disney World. The owners of the hotel are currently in bankruptcy as well, Hyatt only manages the hotel.

If you do a search on this forum you may find more comprehensive information.

I am not trying to make you feel worse PoohGirl, but when you go the Priceline route ... sure, you can save a great deal of money ..
but it's a gamble. I would rather have control over where I choose to stay, which is why I think this board is a great resource.
Odd are if enough people say a place is nice, I tend to trust that consensus. I've seen the hotel that Pricelince selected for you.
I think it's an older complex .. not bad. We have friends that have styaed there a number of times, and they didn't say anything really bad about the place, and I think like anything else that regardless how you end up in a hotel be it your choice or the Proceline route, if it's really bad, you can ask them to find you a room in the complex that meets with your approval, provided they have one .. or find another hotel and dispute the bill.
Good luck.

well I argued with priceline and am getting my money back minus the $5.95 processing fee. I have just heard horrible things about this hotel. I am not doing priceline again though. I don't like the lack of control. Thanks for the input!!

last year on a price line and found it quite good for what I paid. It's very convenient to park only a short distance from the room. There was in-room coffee, the room was larger than a moderate and had a balcony. It's not Disney property, but very convenient, and i felt I got good value for my $50 bid.

The Hyatt Orlando is not bad but it is not the normal "Hyatt" standard. It is a conference hotel so there are often lots of attendees around..actually was there yesterday at a conference and two others were going on as well. I find the options of food to be terrible at the take out place, not sure how the resturant was.

The hotel is very close to disney, but as someone stated, it does back up to I-4 in the back so it can be a little noisy with truck traffic. I don't know what you got on priceline but I do know that I would not pay the full "list" price for the hotel.
