Hi All

I have a couple questions about the Hyatt - I looked at the FAQ and did a search but the newest information I was able to find was from 2009.

1. Is there a trick to being able to somehow know on priceline that you are booking the Hyatt?

2. I'm not a priceline user so I'm also wondering can you in the same transaction book 2 rooms for 2 adults in each room?

3. What is the current process for checking in for the cruise at MCO/Hyatt when using DCL transfers. Do they check you completely in for the cruise (Magic 7 night) so when you arrive at the port you are done?

4. I would like information on a day room at the Hyatt on debarkment day - is this only available to book at the hotel or can it be booked in advance? What is the going rate for this?

Thank you all for your invaluable input - you help many, many cruisers to better understand/enjoy the DCL experience.

Is port check in at the Hyatt only for those with DCL transfers?

We had a day room a few years ago and we made an advance reservation.
I know nothing regarding priceline.
We also stayed at the Hyatt pre-cruise and while they handled getting us to Disney transportation we still had to check in at the port. However, it may be different now. In December (we did not stay pre-cruise at the Hyatt) we checked in at a counter in the airport and did not have to check in at the port. They gave us our lanyards and KTTW cards. That was something new getting ready for the larger ships and more people.
How are your kids? They must be grown up by now.

We booked a day room at the Hyatt for the last day of our upcoming vacation. I believe the cost was $89. I just called them up and booked it. Sorry I can't answer any of your other questions!

The previous poster had info about LMT....it is a good/safe way to get the Hyatt because you can tell by the pictures of the pool (and the runway visible outside the BR) in the pictures. If you use Priceline you always run the risk of getting another hotel in the airport area, although they are quite nice and have excellent free shuttle service. Usually the MCO Hyatt does not release rooms to Priceline until very close to check in date (2 to 3 days out max). If you wanted to try a last minute bid for there you would want to bid on a 3.5* property in the MCO zone. The Hyatt will turn up with bids of $43 to $48 most of the time.....which is a substantial savings over LMT....however there is no guarentee and it would be a last minute bid.

If you are absolutely wanting only the Hyatt at MCO I think LMT is your best bet. I got a room there for $89+tax for a night in October that I booked last week. Most nights it is $111 to $113 but may come down to the $89 rate occasionally closer to trip dates. If you are willing to take a chance on another property (Marriot, Crowne Plaza or Renaissance) then Priceline is a thrifty alternative.

For a day rate you will have to book directly with the hotel.

Thank You to all!

I think I can figure this out now - sounds like LMT is my best bet.

Judy - nice to hear from you - yes both J & K are 20 somethings living away from home (I like the empty nest) - as long as they visit!

One other question - about how far in advance can you find MCO Hyatt on LMT?

I got Hyatt MCO for $110 total at otel.com. Taxes included.

Like otel.com on FB, and get an extra 10% off (they will send you a PIN).

You can't guarantee the Hyatt MCO on Priceline. You can do it with Hotwire or Last Minute Travel because you can tell by the amenities listed. On Priceline, there are other hotels in the same category (Renaissance). Yes, you can book 2 rooms for 2 adults each.

Yes, check in at the Welcome Center at MCO is only for people using DCL transfers to get to the terminal.

A day room at the Hyatt can be booked by calling the hotel. The cost is $89; with taxes added it comes to almost exactly $100. I know of no way to do this other than by calling the hotel because all the on line services are for rooms with 4 pm check in and overnight stay.

Here is the way to tell EXACTLY which hotel that you're getting on Last Minute Travel. Someone had posted these directions in my Hyatt MCO thread and it does work:

You'll need 2 browser windows open

Browser 1
Search on lastminutetravel.com for your city/dates
Click on or hold your cursor over the Book It box
In the middle of the URL you will see HotelID= (take note of these numbers)

Browser 2
Go to their parent site Tourico Holidays
In the URL replace what is currently there with the number you found above
If you book through the lastminutetravel link, this is the hotel you will get

The Hyatt MCO is ID 2825

My original reservation was using AAA discount $179 (incl breakfast for 2). After researching on the boards, I decided to take a chance and book through Hotwire. The Hotwire description for the hotel was as follows:
4 Star Rating
Recommended by 95%
Amenities: Airport shuttle, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet access

I can't believe we're saving over $100 from our original reservation :woohoo: That more than makes up for not getting free breakfast!

We are very thankful for the information we've received from the boards!:worship:

Weird that it would list the Hyatt MCO as having an airport shuttle since it's actually IN the air port.

Good point. I hope to try and get a stay here again at a great rate. First time I let Disney handle things but not the next time.lol

Hi All!

I've been trying on hotwire and LMT.com and have never had any luck seeing this available at all in Jan 2012.

Has anyone seen this recently?

I've been looking at Jan too, but even I have played with other dates just to see what comes up.
I've seen the Hyatt come up on hotwire for about $150 (within a few weeks out) plus fee's making a Stay Certificate more economical- or even Priceline for that matter. When I search Jan, it's still regularly priced.

I've NEVER seen it on LMT but I have seen the Renascence for $70 bucks which is much cheaper than the price via their own website.

Thanks SoCaOC-Mom - I just thought I was doing something wrong - but that is the same thing I'm seeing!
