We just got back from our trip and stayed the first night at the Hyatt MCO. We arrived late and were looking for a stress free first night before heading to USF and then the cruise.

My tip is to apply for a Hyatt Gold Passport. Upon check-in I showed them my card, you can file and print it online. I booked a 2 Full standard room, $129 AAA rate. I asked for another roll-away bed, they said it would not fit so they offered me a Parlor room for $93 a night plus 2 free breakfast vouchers(kids eat free). The Parlor room has one Full and they brough 2 rollaways for the kids. The room is huge, has a huge table in it. It had a wrap around balcony and lots of room to spread out all our bags.
The free breakfast was very good and as a bonus the room also had a dry erase board. The kids played pictionary and hangman and it kept them very busy. These rooms must be for conferences and small meetings but it worked well for us.

Next time we are there, we will ask for this type of room at check-in. I don't know if my Gold Passport had anything to do with the offer or if they were just trying to make me happier.

Just thought I would share.

Thanks for the tip. Right now we have two rooms booked before our cruise using an AAA rate. I will check out the Hyatt website and apply for the card and see what I can get.
