Has anyone stayed at the Hyatt at the airport? Going to stay there in a few week and was just wondering how it is.

We've stayed there before early AM flights out of MCO. Room was quiet, but I'd skip having a meal in the hotel restaurant. The one dinner we had there was not worth the $$$ they charge. I'd recommend Chili's or Romano's Macaroni Grill in the main terminal.

Lots of DCL and other cruisers stay there the night prior to their cruises, since the cruise lines sell bus transportation from MCO to Port Canaveral. Prices can vary considerably depending on how busy the cruise port will be.

We ve stayed over quite a few times both before a cruise, afterwards and before a flight the next morning. We ve even rented a room for 1/2 day after a cruise but before s late flight years back
Room was clean, quiet and well equipped. We grabbed food there but I’d only do that as a back up as it’s on the higher priced side. Though, good service and food was okay.
Enjoy

Thanks for your replies. My daughter is flying from Chicago and her plane lands at 10:00 pm so I thought it would be convenient to stay there. I am driving down, leaving that previous Monday for a leisurely road trip through the south and will get there earlier. In the morning we will leave and check in at POFQ. This trip just came together in the past month and is exciting for its spontaneity and the fact that it is happening so fast.

I've stayed there. If the price is right, the location can't be beat. I don't remember anything ABOUT the hotel though, aside from there was a bed and I had a cocktail in the hotel bar. Pretty sure we ate at the bar.

We have. It's expensive as heck but when we flew out at 6:00 AM it was worth the premium cost.
It's just a bed and a room.
We stayed there one trip when we landed really late and it was nice then too. Turned out we had a delay with our original flight and couldn't grab dinner so we ate there. It was nice they have very late hours at the restaurant
But I've never seen the price there better than our Disney room so in most cases it makes most sense to get on to Disney

We've stayed there a few times - a couple were because of very early morning flights and once because our flight to Baltimore was cancelled due to weather. I thought their prices were quite reasonable, considering they more or less have a captive audience. I'm not sure we ever paid much more than $200 for a room, and even when we had to get one last minute because of the flight cancellation, the price was under $200. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. We like the rooms facing the atrium so we can watch people coming and going. We haven't eaten in their restaurant, as we prefer eating somewhere in the airport.

Their prices flucuate GREATLY. We've paid anywhere between less than $200 to over $400, for the same exact room category/bed. It's purely luck on if the night you need is $ or $$$

For a cheaper price she could stay at the County Inn and Suites. they offer free airport shuttle and free breakfast. Then the shuttle can take her back to MCO to catch the ME. The hotel is 2 miles from the airport That is where we stay when we fly in late.

I would just book that night at POFQ. She can easily take ME when she gets in . She will have to take her luggage on ME, but she would have to claim her bags even if she was staying at the Hyatt. I really don't see the point of staying at the airport.

I'm sure they do, and we may have just been lucky. I guess my point was that they aren't always outrageously expensive, even though they're the only hotel in the airport. It's worth checking. And go to the desk and ask. I checked once on their website when we were at the airport, and it showed no available rooms. But when we went to the desk, they had a room,

Last trip it was 2 hours before I got to my resort. It was not fun. In this case I can see why they would want to meet up and just stay there overnight.
