Hi, everyone.

We are staying at the MCO Hyatt pre cruise. We'd like to purchase alcohol to take onboard, but where is the question. We are flying in, spending the night and then using Disney transportation to the port. We're in need of a liquor store. Suggestions? Thoughts?

Thank you!

Here's a thought. If you are interested in bringing liquor, just bring the little bottles and put them in a quart sized bag in your carryon. This is ok per TSA rules. It may not be enough for the whole cruise, but it might tide you over until your first port.

Obviously, this doesn't work for beer or wine.

Per TSA's web-site
3-1-1 for carry-ons. Liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less per container; must be in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. The bag limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring.

People have posted that the ABC Liquor Store near Orlando airport will deliver alcohol right to the hotel. Check out their website and contact them to see if they still do this practice. I am not sure which one is closest..you would have to call and ask them.

Are there any liquor stores inside MCO? We are flying in also and wondered where to pick up some wine. Thanks!!

Ok, so we have wrapped bottles in plastic bags inside lock and lock plastic containers and put it in our checked bags with no problems. I couldn't find anything that didn't allow this on the TSA site. We are taking a chance that the bottle might break (we try to find liquor that comes in plastic bottles to begin with), but we've wrapped them thoroughly in plastic bags and taped them really well.

This is fine and absolutely appropriate for TSA regulations and flying.

However, you will need to collect that piece of luggage at MCO and move the alcohol to your carry-on before boarding DCL; the original checked piece of luggage can again be checked with DCL now that the alcohol has been removed. DCL requests that any beverages be carried on and not in checked luggage.

Enjoy your cruise!

how does that work? interesting idea.

A friend and I went in together for an order before our recent EBTA since I was flying in the day of the cruise and she was using Disney Transport from WDW. They had her call in our order before she left WDW for the port. Once she got to the port she called to let them know she was there. They arrived with her order in about 10-15 mins. She put everything in her carry on and went on inside the terminal to check in and board. I believe they have about a $9 delivery fee that we split between us.

Well here is a suggestion.. I work for the airlines and I seen this with many of my customers. You can get a box from the liquor store and pack the box with bubble wrap and wrap the bottles in there and seal the box up. when you check your box in they will ask what is in it and you can tell them. i know airlines charge for bags but not southwest. so thats an idea.

1. One of the limo services offer a stop at Liquor store.
2. On our last cruise some of the driving FB group purchased and brough liquor for flying members.
3. I saw liquor stores in Coco or PC easy to get to. Just drive a couple of miles past ship terminals.
4. Ask the doorman at the Haytt.

If I was looking for Beer I would just get a cab to the nearest store, there are convenience stores very close. If it was hard alcohol I would probably pack it like others have suggested.
