I kept bouncing back and forth about eating at CRT. I always used to dream about going into the castle when I was little, and the kid in me just took over all my planning ideas. Even though I heard that the food wasn't that great, I still wanted to eat in the castle. By the time I got my husband talked into letting me go (I already have his choices and all of the kids choices booked.) it was too late they had no openings on the days we were going. I figured that was just my luck. DH and all the kids got what they want so I was happy, but there was still that part of me that really wanted to go to the castle. I wasn't about to give up though. It took alot to convience DH and 3 boys to go. Tonight I found out they had a cancellation and I'm in. Now everyone gets what they want. DH thinks that I am crazy for being so excited about getting into CRT, but I thought you guys would understand. I had to tell someone that didn't think I was crazy.

Congratulations! I definitely know that feeling. I have been begging to go back to the castle (DD and I ate lunch there just the 2 of us in 08). It is truly beautiful in there and eating in the castle is truly a dream come true for many of us. I hope you enjoy your experience there as much as I did! Hope you have a great time!

Nope, you're definitely not crazy. That is my big must do meal too!:lovestruc

Congrats on getting your ressie!!!!

I totally understand why you're excited! When I was little and went Disney, we walked up to Cinderella castle. I couldn't wait to get inside. And then? Nothing, we just walked through it. Nada, zero zip! From that day, I thought to myself, some day I want to go inside that castle! And I did for the 1st time in October! I felt like a 10 year old girl again and it was magical! So yes, I get why you're excited! Take tons of pics too, it's so much fun to look at them after you get home!:goodvibes

I love CRT. I have done breakfst and lunch there and both were fresh and delicious! It is magical!

Enjoy!!

YOU MUST Eat at the Castle!

I truly believe your DH and DS's will LOVE it as well !

I've been around 18 times to WDW...and I can't remember NOT eating at the Castle!

It's a family tradition...

The only visit...NOT eating at CRT is our next.... DS will be 18...it's just me & HIM...He's ALWAYS had TS at CRT EVERY one of the 10 visits..but I'm breaking Tradition...and chose Cali Grill as a surprise... (He Loves Sushi)...

HUGS,
Mary

I think it is great that you get to be "girlie" and enjoy this.

As you said, everyone needs to get a little of what they want while at WDW.

Personally CRT isn't my thing, but hey go and be the "princess" of your family. Hopefully the boys (including) DH will get into it. :wizard:

I think you made a good choice! I liked the food there. We had no complaints. The service was impeccable!!! Enjoy!!!

I do understand...This will be our first time eating at CRT and I too am so excited. Unfortunatley DH and DS (7) and DS (6) not so much. Although I must admit that they are being good sports so that mommy can eat with the princesses. :goodvibes

Trust me your not being weird.

A lot of us have this as an absolute must do, even though the food isn't as good as some other offerings at WDW.

My partner and I always go to CRT once in every visit, and we don't have any kids!

You are going to enjoy every moment!

The truth is there are just some dining experiences that are not really about the food, and CRT is one of them. When I took my 3 princesses (my dw and 2 dd's) it was one of our fav memories of the trip. We did the dinner and the food was fine.... I think most people who have a prob with it are judging the food based on the cost, but you are paying for much more than food.

Our only regret was that in the dinner show, not all the princesses were ther, but now I understand they have changed that. Go and have fun! :)

Im happy you were able to get what you wanted as well. Im not a big fan of CRT....had the chance to eat there 10 years ago when I worked there. Things might have changed but nonetheless enjoy yourself. My favorite Disney Dining spot is Oliva's Cafe over at Old Key West. How wierd but I love it for breakfast. Im making a special trip to OKW in May!

I totally understand! I still remember the year I snagged a CRT breakfast back when it was next-to-impossible - back when you had to get up & call at 6:57 am every morning at exactly 90 days out!

I was sooooo excited!!!

And I still get excited eating in the castle... it's a must-do for us! (We've just switched to lunch as our fav meal, &, for our next trip, we're going to try dinner.)
