Let me start out by saying, I AM A FULL BLOWN DISNEY ADDICT!

Earlier this evening I was doing my usual, visit the Disney boards and found a link to download some music from Wishes.
Now picture this if you will....I am 34 years old, out of shape and me my 5 year old daughter were dancing around to the music. I mean I was in full "pretend I work at Disney and I'm dancing in a parade mode.
I couldn't decide if I wanted to sit in the floor and cry, after hearing the lyrics.......or if I wanted to jump up and down with excitement because we leave for the world in about 30 days.
My husband walks in the room and says...."we need to get you some help, or move or Orlando." I think that sounds like a great idea! Better yet, I'll get a job at Disney. Hey wait, even better than that, my DH can get a job at Disney, he is an engineer so he could be an imagineer and I'll go and hang out at the parks all day like I don't have good sense.
Anybody else got it this bad?

:bounce:

NOt to bust your bubble but it is extreemly difficult to get a job as a Disney Imageneer. You almost have to work your way up as an intern first to even get looked at.

Yup. My DH is constantly saying I need help. I don't think we need help by the way. :thumbsup2 DH surprised the heck out of me by suggesting we move to Florida when the kids are grown. Huh? :confused3 I'm not complaining mind you . . . I just never thought he would agree never mind suggest it. I told my best friend the other day we should go to the Disney Store (an hour away) so we can at least pretend we're in a WDW gift shop. I watch Disney on the travel channel, listen to my Disney CDs, wear my Disney tee-shirts, and my office is decorated in Disney at home where I work. So . . . I guess we both need help you and I but what a great problem to have! :wizard:

BTW . . . I'm 34 too.

Would you look at that?! My 1000th post and it is about my Disney addiction. How ironic. :rotfl:

Mecha Figment, ARE YOU SERIOUS? Please no, you couldn't be? I thought we would give them a call tomorrow and he'd be employeed as an imagineer before our trip in late October.

Honey,I'm 48 and when I hear Disney music my booty starts to move, then my legs and arms start going and before you know it I'm in a full blown Disneyworld Dancin' Daze.
:dancer:

No, my husband has been the world twice (he was a deprived child - lol) and he is CONSTANTLY asking if we can go, all.the.time. I have been there 6 or 7 times now... But he, he is already planning a Halloween Trip AFTER our Christmas trip which isn't till 2007... on top of that, he pulled out his wizard ears the other night to try it on. lol.

Disney addicts unite! :cool1:
Oh wait, we already did...its called the DIS boards. heehee. :rotfl:
Anyway, I am with you all the way. It seems like everything in my life revolves around my disney trips, disney movies, disney merchandise. I am the epitome of a consumer. :rotfl2:
But its a great thing to be an addict of. There are definitely alot worse things. It makes all of us happy and adds a little pixie dust to our days! :wizard:

We started our madness in 1977, and we're past 38 visits to WDW, most are over 8 nights, leaning more to 10-12 nights. My wife and I have it so bad, daughter and son in law, included, we mostly vacation together now down there. We're in our late 50's, hit the Disney store in our area just about every week just to get a fix and sniff, brings back the memories. We have so many great memories and pictures of all our past trips and movies too. We watch the planning video over and over and always order the new one when it comes out. In our home, say Disney, and everyone says when and for how long, count me in.

Bad addiction, no, about the happinest, wrong, it is the happinest place on earth for us, we love the atmosphere, ambiance and relaxation we get being there.
We most always have a count down clock going and we're just back, 4 weeks ago 9 nights WL, and said we have to go back every 6 months at least, or sooner. All aboard !!

Its really bad when you carry a backpack in the car with all the WDW Planning Books (Birnbaum's Official Guide, Dining Guide, and Cruise Line books), park maps, and latest itinarary. We always have them with us just in case we need to discuss the latest going on at Disney. All the phone numbers are available in each of our cell phones for the quick call to make or change arrangements. We like to be ready, you never know when you'll be needing this info....
