Hello all, I'm trying to be a hero here and it looks like I need some help. As you can probably guess from my user name I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what I'm eating off of. I do however spend a lot of time making sure my way better half is happy. Heres the problem, my wife wants new dishs. She wants Corelle or something simular, light & tough. She wants round plates but with a comtemporary pattern. I'm looking for round plates that have a pattern simular to the corelle square splender pattern. Looks like a kid with a paint brush splashed it to me but hey, to each her own. And, ah, lets not mention this to my riding buddies, OK? :rotfl2:

Maybe something like Corelle Vive "Ribbons & Swirls", Corelle Impressions "Faenza" or "Spring Faenza"? Those are the most contemporary Corelle patterns in round plates that I found although none are very similar to the pattern you referenced. I don't know of any dinnerware that is lightweight and durable like Corelle that may have different patterns. My dishes are from Pottery Barn but I only like solid white dishes. :)

Rosenthal has something like that but it may be outside your budget.

Other more modern stuff I have seen lately are by Denby, Royal Daulton, or Villeroy & Bosh.

I too am a white dish girl Bernadaud Louvre

Too late!! They all know! ;)

Just kidding. Sorry I can't help you with your Corelle purchase, we've had Pfaltzgraf for years. If it makes you feel any better, since my dh gets home from work almost 2 hrs before me, he has dinner ready when I get home and does the dishes too. :lovestruc
There's nothing feminine about buying dishes. ;)
Good luck!

I would agree with one of the Vive or Impressions patterns. Have you looked at Worldkitchen.com? They have 80 Corelle patterns to chose from.

Well my DH could never pick out a pattern I would like. I don't care for Corelle but it's quite popular. I have Johnsville and Mikasa before that. My sister has old Fiestaware which she loves, but it isn't my taste. Someone posted Bonton had $50 off $100 purchase. Really depends on what you want to spend and how many place settings you need.
