It is in my name so that isnt the problem. Can they accept a picture of the card and or maybe a picture printed out so they can still scan the barcode? I hate to buy a whole new card for $50, we still have it, it just is in a foreign country! :(

No sadly. We leave in 2 days for our next trip. I was going CRAZY last night trying to find it as I usually keep everything in one place, but realized when both HIS AP and the TIW card were missing, they may have gone along for the trip with him.

I'm pretty surprised that he would take them.

I know when my family member deploy or travel anywhere long term, they take everything out and put back only what they need. Are you sure he has them?

I hope they make an exception in this case. I'm sure the last thing on someone's mind before deployment is where their discount card for WDW dining is located.

I wouldn't put too much stock in anything I was told via phone or email. Go to Guest Services when you arrive & explain what happened. Hopefully, they will come through for you. Good luck.

Call and ask or even email. Have your husband send a photo of the front and back of the card so you can attach it to the email or at least have your account #. I want to believe that Disney will do the right thing in this case and give you a new one free of charge because this is a special circumstance.

First off, thank you for your service to our country! Families sacrifice as much as our troops do, especially during deployments.

Disney is very accommodating to our military families, and rightfully so! When my ex son in law found out his leave from Iraq would be over Easter, and that he wanted to go to WDW, Disney made a 19 day trip happen for our family. They found us accommodations that seemed impossible. So I'm sure they can help you!!!

Have a magical trip!! I would call today and ask what they need, as the card is in your name, even though it's with your DH!!

You can call and request that they send a plastic card, but it doesn't seem like you have enough time to receive it.

I have lost my TIW card in the past and guest services replaced it for me with photo ID - has this changed ?

Thanks to your husband and your family for your service.

Officially, they're supposed to charge $50 to replace a lost card.

I would plan for the $50 fee so that you already have the money budgeted just in case. Then if Disney sticks with the rules, you won't be caught in a situation of not having the money. I would never, ever, ever plan on someone being nice and waving a fee even if they have in the past. Always plan for the worst and hope for the best I say!

then your question is, are you using it for enough meals to justify the additional cost?
good luck!
