About 2 weeks ago I asked about Contours Express on this board. I joined for 3 months on October 20th. Been going every day they are open (6 days a week) since then. Today my legs are really hurting me (I try to do a little more than they tell you to -- instead of warming up for 3 minutes with the bike, I try to do 6 or instead of doing the circuit 2 times I go 2-1/2 times). Most days it is a pain in the neck to go down there, but I have to say afterwards I feel great. Maybe this is the exercise high that they talk about?

I've always been a walker, but I don't think that it's been enough. This is really a great work out and best of all, there are women of all shapes and sizes there. (Ok, so I could do without the 2 or 3 that are really skinny and muscle bound).

I haven't changed my eating habits (I'm trying...but my mouth gets ahead of my brain. This is something I REALLY need help with!), but I do feel a difference just from the exercise. Now, this may sound crazy, but I think my breasts are...well...how do I say this???? Perkier? Not quite so saggy? :crazy:

Any way, I just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying this and I encourage anyone who wants to join a Contours (or a Curves or a Shapes or whatever they call themselves, I know they are all pretty similar) to go for it! You'll feel great!
 
Congrats on your consistant exercise . It really does make a difference. Now work on a healthy eating plan, and you will really feel fantastic.
 
Congrats on starting Countours. You are doing great! I can't wait to start exercising again. I had to stop because I got so burnt out from cheerleading, exercising so late at night and all our competition, practices, etc. Once I get back from vacation I am going to start again. Once cheerleading is compeletly over.

Thanks for the encouragement. I really DO have a problem with an eating plan. I just LOVE to eat all the bad things (and some of the "good" stuff I am allergic too! :eek: ).

Last night my legs were really killing me and I didn't think I would be able to do much. But I spent money on Contours, so I went (the place was deserted! I guess bad weather will do that). I still did the circuit 2-1/2 times. (Although I skipped 2 of the leg machines on my last round). Tried to focus more on doing the abs/sit ups at the end.

If nothing else, it makes me feel so good afterwards (although when I'm doing it sometimes it's HARD).

And I did end up talking to this one lady (the only one there and she was finishing as I started) about her daughter's familys plan to go to WDW. Wish she had stayed longer and let me rattle on. Would have made the time go faster -- and there's nothing more I love to talk about than WDW!
 

Great Job Liz! I just joined Curves last week and I'm feeling muscles that I didn't even know I had --- so I can relate with you sweetie!

Congratulations, you are doing wonderful with all that excersize!! Keep it up!! :)
