Oh, how cute...
My cat was a stray with a litter of kittens that some nice person took in and brought to a shelter. All of the kitties were quickly adopted, but no one wanted my Henrietta...
She was in the shelter for about 9 months before we adopted her. She also is skittish, does not want to be picked up at all...cutting her nails is a chore..but she shows affection on her own terms...follows me all around the house, talks to me, she is now sitting beside me on the couch and she usually sleeps on my leg or stomach!
I can't wait to see some pics of Cutie Pie. Sounds like your DD and he will become close friends!
