I'd wager Disney strong armed Tostitos into giving the products for free. "You have exclusive rights to being in the basket"

On second thought...the products are probably free AND Tostitos had to pay extra to get into the basket.

They’re usually double or triple the product value. It’s the sentiment and the ability to deliver in room. Like a floral arrangement and those bonkers prices for delivery.

DH ordered a basket to our room a few years ago. $80 for a $12 bottle sparkly and 2 Mickey head etched stem glasses with a personalized card. I cringed at the price but it was from him, and he wanted to make arrival special. Very sweet

I can see grandparents ordering something like this or people who want to mark a special trip or occasion. The more people who buy this basket the less money WDW needs from me to stay profitable
