When last I left off, we were leaving Animal Kingdom for the last time. I truly wish we had been able to spend more time there. There was so much I wanted to do, but just didn't have time for. That's the thing about summer trips, the heat just really wipes you out. We missed Pangani Forest Trail, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Flights of Wonder, Primeval Whirl and Devine just to name a few. Of course these will be added to the list to do next time. That's what keeps us coming back.

I think our “missed list” was about the same. You’re right. It was just TOO hot to enjoy AK.

We had put the Tinker Belle Birthday banner up when we got there, but they had added the stuffed animals. The girls really got a kick out of it.

When we checked in for ADR I told them 2 adults and 2 children and also mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, a 10th birthday. I was then told then that would be 3 adults. I explained that's not what I was told when I made the ADRs. After going back and forth with no one getting ugly or upset she finally just said they would record it as 2 adults and 2 kids. Of course along the way I was silently having a panic attack, knowing this would mess up my dining credits.

Yikes!

Danielle loved the resort and wants to some day stay there. Of course I told her that wouldn't happen unless we won the lottery, so every week she asks if I bought a ticket. We took these pictures while we waited.

We didn't think of anything witty to say to the sisters, but because they were always passing by our table the girls did stop Anastasia once to ask her if she could sing for them. She told them "Can I yes, will I no!" They got a laugh out of that.

For some reason, that cracked me up!

Once we got on the monorail the sky opened up and it poured. I mean it really started pouring!

Ah yes. We had just gotten on the DHS to Epcot Friendship when the monsoon began that night.

Danielle felt sorry for Bailey and gave up her poncho.

How sweet! Don’t you just get the warm fuzzies when your kids are self-sacrificing like that?

If you look at the last photo from 1900 Park Fare you will see TWO hidden Mickey's

They are on both sides of the "center" man.

We are staying at POFQ, how about you? We haven't decided on whether we are flying or driving yet. Last time we drove. I have never been without my own vehicle, do you find that you miss anything due to the times waiting for buses?

I definitely want to spend as much time at the parks, but visit a lot of the resorts also.

I do have an ADR at Coral Reef, hopefully I wont come to regret it.

This will be our second Mardi Gras Trip. You're going to love the weather. Crowds might be a little heavy since it's Presidents Week too. You'll see lots of purple and gold.

I live and work in Baton Rouge. Big LSU fans. Didn't go to the game last night, but I did have a ticket. We went to the Homecoming parade since my daughter is a Theta.

We're driving and staying at POFQ too! For the most park we'll use the Disney Transportation.

I definitely want to spend as much time at the parks, but visit a lot of the resorts also.

We have a few meals planned at resort in hopes of checking them out.

Bailey's is 10 days after Danielle. On this trip she didn't get along with Tena. Before this trip she did.

Today's plan was to return to Epcot. We had a breakfast ADR for the Princess Storybook Dining. Today we would celebrate Bailey's birthday. The hope was to spend more time in World Showcase so the girls could finish their passports.

I was really worried about making our breakfast in time. On our last trip we had a breakfast ADR and the bus for Epcot didn't run until 7:30. After researching I was hoping the bus would come earlier this time around. In the back of my mind I was thinking we could catch the bus to Mk then hop on the monorail if needed. Well the bus came about 7:20 so I was relieved about that. Once we got to the park the ADR line was so long and not moving. We had made it there in time for our ADR but I wasn't sure if we would make it to Norway in time due to the slow moving line. I really wanted to take some pictures of the empty park. I did take this while waiting in the line.





And these once we finally got in.





While rushing past Spaceship Earth.



Well after all my worry we made it back to Norway in time to check in. Little good it did since we didn't get sat until about 8:40. While waiting we took these.









Now I've forgotten whose report I was reading when the trolls were mentioned. I really wish I could remember. We made a game out of looking for the little trolls in the windows.

I don't know what was up with Bailey not smiling.



As you can see today was another dress alike day. It really made it easy to find each other.

We were seated in the middle room, after the buffet. I really like this breakfast. I love the cheese, fruit and breads offered on the bar and the eggs and stuff brought to our table. This was our 3rd time doing this breakfast.

Not too long after being seated the Princesses started coming. This was the first time we had Cinderella. Of course we had just had dinner with her the night before.

We finished up our meal and prepared to leave. Our course everyone has to make a pit stop and they have the smallest bathroom. It was about 9:30 and the park had been opened for 30 minutes, time to get moving. At this point Danielle got a little miffed. Her real birthday was the day before so she had worn the crown to dinner. We had designated this meal as Bailey's birthday meal. Both girls got cards from the Princesses and Bailey worn the crown. But after the meal Bailey decided she wanted to wear the crown all day. In Danielle's eyes that wasn't fair. After leaving the restaurant I had to go to the store to arrange for our picture to be sent back to the resort. Feeling sorry for Danielle I caved and bought her a small crown. This little crown cost me twice as much as the big one but she loved it and it kept the peace.

I have to say, my husband and the friend I am going with in February both smoke (I do too, but only if I've been drinking) but not like your sister does. That must have been really hard. I think when we were there in July Tony would have one cigarette before we went to the park, 1-2 during the day, and one after dinner. It was never a problem, and I was actually pleasantly surprised by how nice the smoking areas were. I would have been frustrated in your situation though, especially with two kids to watch!

Since Danielle's real birthday was the day before she felt she shouldn't wear the button anymore. When we bought the crown it was for each girl to have a turn to wear it to their Birthday Meal. Danielle felt Bailey should only wear it for the meal, not the whole day.

Hi Jo! That's me in the picture, and yes I did have some blue jean shorts on. It's just the shirt was so big!

Tena smokes a lot more than she should. I didn't realize how bad it has gotten until this trip. Actually I should say how bad it has gotten again. Due to some health problems she had gotten a lot better, but has slipped down again. I did find that the smoking areas were VERY nice except in Animal Kingdom. Even I'll admit that there weren't enough and they're very far apart.

I'm going to borrow an idea from Anita. Instead of starting a PTR for up coming trip I'm just going to post about it here. Of course I think I've got that backwards. She posted a trip within her summer PTR. I don't think I could keep up with 2 reports, there isn't much time and I don't think enough people would read it anyway.

So on with the PTR.

Dates- February 12-February 21, 2010
We're planning on driving and leaving Friday afternoon. Hopefully we'll get as far as Tallahassee. We won't arrive in Disney until 2/13.

Resort-Port Orleans French Quarter. This will be our first Moderate stay! I'm hoping to get Dennis hooked on staying Moderate.

Who- Me-Vanessa, DH-Dennis, DD-Michelle, DD-Danielle, Sister-Jada (not the same sister as last trip), and niece-Lauren.

My sister and niece are driving down too, but may end up flying. They're only staying until 2/19 and are booked at Pop.

We're doing the dining plan and we have hoppers.

Vanessa, I've probably said this before but you are going to love the french quarter!
We stayed there on our second trip. Our first had been an All Star. I thought I had died and gone to heaven!
The pool slide is really fun, I hope it's warm enough to swim!
