I do hope all my fellow DVC'ers in NY, NJ, CT and all others affected by this horrible storm are safe. Here in NYC we can't remember seeing such damage. Thankfully where I live we just have a mess from trees and debris. But not all are as fortunate. Power outages and floods are the main problem....public transportation out and "could possibly" take 4 days to restore due to flooding and debris on tracks. :( Bridges and tunnels are closed, roads and parts of major highways are closed and all airports closed as well. It's really a mess here.

But, it's over and now the clean up begins. And to think just 16 days ago I was in WDW!

I know the rest of the country has our thoughts and prayers with all of you suffering from Sandy. We are hosting a French student for a couple of weeks, and they spent last week in NYC. I'm so glad they weren't there this week. What a difference a day makes!

I hope all is well! We didn't get hit too bad in MA. My fiance and I were thinking it would be nice if we had been in Disney and were not able to fly back home!

The NJ shore took quite a devastating hit. Here in SE PA the worst issue seems to be road debris, power lines down; not much flooding in our neck of the woods, but there are flood problems near waterways. Schools have been closed and city and state governments are closed again today. My office has also been closed the past two days.

We are safe and sound and thankfully did not lose our power. The winds were scary last night, but we are safe and grateful. We are praying for everyone in Sandy's path.

Exactly where are you? We're trying to teach our Association to try and determine how our house is in the Pocono's.

I live near the Poconos...things should be ok...the storm was BAD and the wind was like nothing I have ever experienced. We still have no power and the damage was minimal for us mostly tree limbs and some downed trees but no structural or water damage. The Poconos didn't get it too bad. We are supposed to fly out tomorrow to WDW. Our flight from Phila was cancelled but they did get us on a later flight. So far its a go.Hope to sleep in my villa tomorrow night with power!!!! Hope this eases your mind a bit. Of course I can't be sure exactly what happened where your home is but this is a general observation of damage in the surrounding area. Hope all turns out well and everyone pray for all of the victims of the storm along the entire East Coast.

We are in Burlington County NJ, just south of Trenton and Princeton. We personally did not lose power, but half of our township did. There were many trees and wires down. Thankfully, we didn't have any loss of life.

We leave for VWL on Thursday morning. We are flying out of Phila, and I have my fingers crossed. So far, our flgiht is OK...

I have many friends in emergency services, and the past few days were awful. We were fortunate, and I will be sure to remember that...

I'm so happy you didn't loose your power. This storm was like nothing I've ever seen. Have a wonderful vacation!!! :goodvibes

We are on the eastern end of long island. Flooding is the worst. Beaches are gone, houses under water but where I am we only lost trees and power. Got my power and Internet back. Going to take time to clean up but all in all it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Most people were smart and evacuated and were highly prepared. No school for the kids probably the rest of the week because their school is a shelter but I think we were all very lucky. Good luck to all my northeastern friends!

Thank God Bobbi.

Yes...it's terrible on Long Island. I never expected a storm like this.

Seaside Park NJ was hit hard, I have a friend who is hearing very bad news about her house. This storm was terrible.

Seaside Park brought tears to our eyes as well as a NBC Reporter while reporting on the storm. It's so sad Bobbi.

In all of my years I've never seen such devastation in "MY" area. When the NYC MTA can't get people moving around the City you KNOW it's bad.

I'm so very sorry for all the people who have lost homes and loved ones. Unfortunately there were deaths also.

In CT, we are still without power or telephone. There's a lot of damage here. Quite devastating. National Guard is out and about. Halloween postponed till next week in may towns. :(

Prayers and thoughts to everyone affected by the storm. We had some trees down, some loss of power and minor flooding but nothing near what I have seen in NY and NJ.

The loss has been devastating to watch. :( I've got a dear friend, whose an RN in Jersey, who has been without power, cell, and water for days.

We are in north east NJ just got power back last night, but half of our town is still without power, but we are lucky we still have our home and each other. So many areas here are just devastated. The gas lines are outrageous, and tempers are getting short. You always see things like this on the news, but when it happens in your neighborhood it's just surreal.

North shore of Suffolk county Long Island here. Still without power, heat, ect. I am exhausted. My boys are faring better than the adults. They are so resilient. Hoping power returns soon.
