Hurricane Plans for WDW

I am very thankful that Orlando is not being hit worse and I hope all of you there are safe.

But while watching and listening to the news, I wondered about what the plans are for guests if a hurricane did hit:
1. Would the Contemporary Resort become a wind tunnel?
2. If the parks are closed and guests have to stay in their rooms, what do they do for meals in resorts that do not have restaurants in all of the buildings? We stayed at the CBR once and I remember the food court was quite a ways away and over a bridge...if it is stormy out and guests can't get to the food court, does WDW have plans on how to help guests manage?
3. If a storm gets unexpectedly worse, are there plans to evacuate on site guests to safer places or rooms?
4. If the parks are closed and you have to stay in your resort for a few days, does WDW reduce the room rate or anything?
I know they do this in Waikiki when travelers get stranded unexpectedly by storms, especially when their stay turns out to be longer than planned.

My BIL and SIL were at the GF for the last hurricane, and there were boxed lunches in the lobby that they were encouraging guests to take back to their rooms.
I know they park monorails in the CR to reduce the wind tunnel effect (and also to protect the monorails!).
I think there is a reduced room rate for stranded guests.

I know they also bus characters out to the resorts to keep guests occupied during the storm.

DH is a character greeter - he was at the resorts Sat am with a large group of characters. There was also a buffet brunch.

As he was leaving he saw trucks driving in loaded with food - they are pulling it from the parks and the warehouses and stocking up the resorts.

Disney has a great hurricane plan.

Read the resorts brd. There are many posts abt what the resorts did during Charley & a few from Franny.

With the Contemp they park 4 rails in there nose to nose as it serves a duel purpose 1)It plugs the holes 2) keeps the rails safe as the barn only holds 8 of the 12

If I had the money I would. We lived through Hugo. I'm more afraid of tornados than hurricanes.
