Hurricane Milton

It’s been a disappointing travel week for us. It’s my birthday, and we were going to spend a few days at WDW then go on the Wish cruise on Friday. All cancelled. I’m trying to stay positive, though, and hopeful that it’s for the best and that we come through the storm safely and without damage to our home. Plenty of other people have way more serious problems than my vacation being cancelled.
I'm so sorry! You can be bummed for your cancelled birthday plans and recognize there are others who are also suffering. Good for you for staying positive, and Happy Birthday!:cake:

We're in the same boat--well, I guess we were supposed to be in the same boat. This was going to be our second Disney cruise with family flying in to join us on this cruise and all canceled. Trying real hard not to be super disappointed as well but it's tough when it's something we've been looking forward to for over a year now. Gonna spend the time hunkering down at our house here in Florida which we're still trying to fix up from Debby.

Port Canaveral fully reopened as of 11:30AM. So the Wish should be able to disembark later today, and the Fantasy on schedule tomorrow.
According to Marine Traffic, as of 1:20pm EDT the Disney Wish was south of Freeport, The Bahamas, west of Castaway Cay. I doubt the Wish will return to Port Canaveral today.

According to passenger reports the Disney Cruise Blog (https://disneycruiselineblog.com/) has posted on X, the Wish is going to Castaway Cay tomorrow and will dock at Port Canaveral on Sunday. The likely Sunday return was conveyed to passengers on Wednesday, and each stateroom was given 1 day of complimentary Internet access so they could make travel arrangements.

Even though the port has reopened, there may not have been a docking location available for today, since many ships that left prior to the storm now need to return for debarkation.
