Hurricane Matthew Closes WDW - Reopens Saturday, October 8th

Anybody know if it still the food they normally serve? Wings potstickers?

I think someone said it was a combo of OHANA and the LUAU food that would work for buffet.

Just ate there. No skewers of meat. They had the wings, noodles, pot stickers, salad, steak (not grilled on the skewer), chicken (not grilled on skewers), and bread pudding. Had to request the sauce, no ice cream. Forgot to Mention the usual veggies and pineapple rolls.

just curious,, IF the box lunches were not a normal item. where the heck did they get all those boxes?
also, interesting how different offerings for the boxed lunches change from resort to resort. I know some had great ones & there was some bad "whitebread" ones. I missed where those "poor" boxes were from.. anyone remember? all from one resort?

& staying in rooms, seemed to be different from resort to resort. the poly told guests to stay in rooms, but yet at the contemporary we see pictures of guests with characters playing around NEAR GLASS DOORS *EGAD* where this was one comment that the "stay in your room" was a safety to guests to stay away from glass windows.. *sigh*

It seem that every resort was handeling things different. Not sure who made the calls for each resort, but I would imagine it was the mangers. At the BWV we got messages in advance. Making sure everyone have information. While in BLT we never got any information although the hurricane was closer and the warnings were raised a level.

Yes it is, we just ate there. Both the wings and potstickers were there!

We actually leave tomorrow (we drove from NC) but we are going to head to MK for the morning. I nabbed a Crystal Palace ADR for early tomorrow so we can use our last TS credits and our last park ticket.

She is thankfully almost done with her homework and we are nearly all packed up to save time tomorrow

They do have dine in theaters but I have not heard if it is operational tonight.

Kind of sad the have to write deepest apologies. A shortened menu is to be expected with no staff to prep before opening.

And look at Hubert's smile. That alone would have made my day!

So the bus wait was ridiculous to get to Disney Springs. We opted to pay $12 for a taxi.
The lines are insane down here and we got here after 5. We decided to buy movie tickets, go shop, and have junk food and drinks for dinner we feel pretttty good about our choice!
