Hurricane Matthew Closes WDW - Reopens Saturday, October 8th

Was sort of thinking the same thing. We are from NC and often get these levels of rain and wind. But I fully understand it could have been much worse.

We are at BWV and got a voicemail with the same time information.

So, what does everyone think about crowd level for tomorrow and Sunday? we have 1 day park hoppers and trying to figure out which day will be better crowd wise
Sitting here at the bus stop and I read the 6:30 bus quote out load and was told by other guests that their friends just got on a bus at Pop or one of the all stars. So transport has started!

I think Sunday is going to be a madhouse. Many of us who were supposed to be there at the end of this week can't even get there until Saturday evening, so we'll all be ready to descend on Sunday!! I would think tomorrow will be your best bet. But what do I know, really. Plus, the parks are opening earlier, aren't they?

So dumb question but I've seen long lines for the dining/tickets concierge desk here at CBR since yesterday. What would the guests be on line for-changes in reservations? I extended my stay over the phone. Just wondering

Prolly trying to get refunds for the lunchbox or extending park tickets if today was their 14th day after first use

Maybe trying to find a room

I'm at Springs now. Have 5pm chef arts reservation. Everything opening at 5pm. Tons of employees walking around already at 4. The roads were fine on the drive over. A decent amount open today. Most restaurants.. Raglan posted as trying for 6pm opening

Thank you for your CBR updates! We'll be there tomorrow. Since we were going to be there today, it helps ease our longing...

We'll be there tomorrow as well. Your daughter and my teenage daughter should commiserate. Losing a day at Disney....my goodness, you'd think life as she knows it was coming to an end. The drama. :rotfl2:

We have ADR's for T-rex & when I called earlier, I got good news & bad news... They will be open 6PM - 12AM but their reservation system is down so it is walk up only. I am now trying to decide if we want to finally venture out of POP/AOA or avoid the fiasco and make sure we are well rested and ready to rope drop early tomorrow to catch up on lost park time.

Uggg we were so excited That they were honoring the ressie
My SIL is at the Poly. She had an ADR; they are not honoring them. They are having a buffet for Poly guests. Sorry, I'd be disappointed to miss the skewers too.

Right!?!? When I made her sit down with me to watch the Weather Channel, the drama somewhat faded...then in teenage fashion, re-surfaced when she caught me canceling our Sat HS FP's. Pretty sure we can't ride ToT from our car in route. And she wouldn't be the one driving all night to get us there on time o_O

Sounds like before anyone travels to another resort tonight for a TS meal they check first to see if
- They are serving
- They are serving anyone other than that hotel's guests
- They are honoring ADRs (I imagine all these open will have long walk up lines)

Would hate to put the travel effort in for no reason when I could have eaten at my resort or Disney Springs.

Woo got the official word that DS is opening at 5. Just got a ressie for Homecoming!

Enjoy your meal! We ate there last weekend and really enjoyed it. The DIS did a mini-review of it on this week's podcast that you might find interesting.

Well HS only has like six rides. so....

And restaurants and stores, too. Gotta have cast to run those. Not to mention that while retail cast can pick up shifts anywhere, attractions cast must be trained to operate specific attractions. Mom works retail in MK, but she has picked up shifts at DS. Dad is only trained on two attractions that he rotates to during shifts . He can't pick up shifts anywhere else. HS may only have 6 attractions, but you have to have available trained crew to operate them.

I'm not up on dining options. We will now have a table service credit left. What are the places I can use that at Disney springs?

I was just kidding, but I totally understand.
