Hurricane Irma?

I wonder what the predictions are for the strength of landfall if the eyewall misses Florida but unfortunately hits Georgia or the Carolinas instead. Is there any cooler water or wind shear that might weaken it a bit?

Yeah theres definitely a trend going here, new models coming out shortly. I will update. Theres less and less outliers now.

It took a westward track (by a hair) two models ago, now it's corrected back to where it was last night. Basically, if nothing drastic happens, I think we are playing with the margin of error now.

Looks like maybe she's moving faster now? I was thinking that she'd be along the coast near Orlando on Monday

So my question (which may be obvious) does that mean ALL commercial flights arriving and departing? My jetblue flight due to arrive at MCO on Sunday at 2:49pm says confirmed (I know that could just be lack of update speed but still..)
yes, all flights

No inside knowledge here, but I would assume all means all. Your JetBlue info probably just hasn't updated yet.

Something is up, for sure. Disney has already pulled the plug on Blizzard Beach for the 8th. Link is in my previous post.

For about the past day, it's had Georgia landfall on Monday afternoon. At that speed, Orlando will see the worst Sunday night. We just don't know what "worst" means.

Probably hitting Orlando the worst late Sunday/early Monday, but possible tropical winds Saturday night/Sunday morning.

No comments from me on wind shear, thats above my paygrade. But I did check ocean temps on the NOAA site...yeah bathwater.
