I mean Jeane.

I was in Tampa for Jeanne. They said it was only going to go up the east coast. It ended up going right across the state to tampa! I was visiting my grandparents after just getting away from all the worries of Ivan. We lost power for a little bit the house was shaking with 75 mph winds, gusts to 85! I wasnt to scared after just being through Ivan. We made it and I hope everyone else is safe. My flight left TPA on schudule to come home today! Again hope everyone else is fine.

Forecasts I saw showed Jeanne going through the state as it did, hitting Orlando and Tampa, then going up the East coast.

They changed a few times. The Hurricane center friday said it was going up the coast and they did saturday morning. But saturday afternoon like around 12 it hadnt started going north yet so the revised the path. It just made it harder becasue all the sudden lots of places in Tampa were under mandatory evaucations and were going nuts getting stuff we originally planned on not getting luckily. Its amazing how they change there paths all the time.

Well I can certainly relate to that. We were evacuated out of New Orleans for Ivan and drove up to B'ham and ended up much worse off. Cousin called from New Orleans and said it was a sunny day, while we were getting pounded with 60mph winds and buckets of rain. I guess they do their best. Just think back to when they couldn't forecast well at all (before Doppler Radar). I would venture to say thousands would've lost their lives in the past few weeks, if not for the evacuations.
