When I changed our tickets online every day that I looked at to find what would work best for us, all of the flights listed for that day had WGA flights available. So you should have no issues getting the flight you want. Now that they expanded it to Sept 4 I noticed the same thing for our return flight as well all of the flights show WGA as available to book. When SWA says that you can alter your flight between your city pairs in the original class of service, does that mean if you booked WGA then you have to find a flight to choose that still has seats in WGA?

Crowd level opinions are in the eye of the beholder. My friend spent the day after at DHS and had a great experience. Logically, one would think crowds would be lower immediately before and immediately after, even if only for a day, with so many people needing to cancel, change flights, or getting stranded elsewhere. Perhaps 2-3 days after crowds would be higher than usual with those who postponed now showing up.
