Dd's first passport arrived yesterday. The rest of us already had valid passports but since dd has never been abroad she's never needed one.

Now, anyone who's ever tried to get a toddler to sit still for a photo knows that it isn't easy, and when there are the added complications of correct background, correct facial expression, no shadows etc as required by the passport office it becomes incredibly difficult. We followed her around for a week, putting her up against plain walls at every opportunity, but she kept either smiling or wailing, or she wasn't looking at the camera, or she just wouldn't sit still.

I ended up sitting her on her changing table (luckily her bedroom wall is the palest of pale pink) and taking a load of photos in the hope that one of them would be ok! Dh cropped one to the right size and magically removed the shadows and I used the post office check & send service which costs a bit more but we got the passport a week later, so we're all set now.

We're off to Disney, wahey!

:lmao: sounds really funny when you describe it but i bet you were getting annoyed with trying to get the photo right. All done now though and you can look forward to your trip - you are so lucky!

have a great time :goodvibes
