Huricane Frances

Hi there remember in florida a year ago there was huricane Frances
well i was in that i was where the worst of it was!!!
our hotel got flooded a bit

My Great Grandparents lived where they got the eye. They were in an assissted living place, than came up here untill June of this year. Their building was AWEFUL. The roof came off, and there was aslot of damage elsewhere. Their building was supposedly the strongest building in Florida.

At the time i was at wl it was pretty bad but not to much damage but, the parks were closed for two days. We got to stay an extra day in disney though.

Well, I happen to live within 10 miles of where the eye came ashore originally in Florida so I had it pretty bad off. we lost 2/3 of the shingles on our roof and sustained much more damage. And then, 2 weeks later we were hit again by Jeanne in almost the same spot so I spent that at our very generous friends house. I had a bad year and we're still having repair work done, but this time we're prepared w/ shutters, a new agarage door, a metal roof, a generator and many more supplies.

My uncle,aunt, and 3 cousins live in Florida and I think that they got hit by that hurricane too. I am not sure if it was this exact hurricane but one of the hurricanes last year, there whole street was flooded and almost all the houses were destroyed or had problems and the only thing that happened to there house was that a small dead tree fell on there garage and a shingle fell off there roof. All the other houses were either destroyed or had a lot more damage so they were really lucky. We went down right after hurricane season ended last year for vacation and it looked horrible. When we went into seaworld all the tree's in the front were knocked down and all along the sides of the roads looked horrible with rubble and dead trees and even the houses looked bad. A long time ago my Grandpa was in a hurricane at sea when he was in the navy!! THat must have been scary! WOW!
