Hundreds of ants in my dishwasher.....

when I opened the door just now... I shut the door, tuurned it on to full cycle, hot dry...I hope they enjoy their bath!

I feel your pain. It's been a horrible season for ants where I live. We have an exterminator coming next week. My mother lives over 30 minutes away from me in another town and she's getting an exterminator too. The exterminators are going to have a booming business this year...

ew yucky. That's horrible. We're having a problem with ants this year too, not as bad as that. Although a few years ago I walked int our guest bathroom and there was an entire colony of ants (we think even eggs too) clutstered in the bathtub. Oh I about passed out. Thankfully my husband was there and was able to spray them with Raid. I made my mom come over later and wash them down the drain for me. We never had a problem with ants in the bathroom after that. Now we just have them on the kitchen floor. Speaking of which, I'm going to call the exterminator right now!

This happens every spring....those little black ants you see everywhere start coming into the house through cracks in the walls around any opening they can. They seem to like water..they are always in the kitchen near the sink and the dishwasher. I have sprayed in the past but I haven't yet this year.
Time to spray I guess!

Eww. They must be looking for water, (ya think). And, they didn't get in thru the sewer pipe, they had to get in thru your house somewhere.

Makes you feel any better, the ladybugs are coming out of winter hybernation and are every where. The only thing you can do is vacuum them up.

It sounded like sugar ants and I was just being nosy and seeing if I was right. Hopefully you get rid of them soon and at least it isn't fire ants!

I would run screaming out of the house if they were fire ants!!!!

.....and I've just spent the last month picking up all the ladybugs on my windowsills...it seems to have slowed down a bit now though.
