Jan 09 Attractions at Islands of Adventure see a few changes
The Incredible Hulk coaster has recently received an addition to the facility for on-ride photographs. Guests now also have the opportunity to buy an on-ride DVD of their experience. It costs a little more than a photograph as they cost $30 each. Its thought the facility has been added to test out the technology that will be used on the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster coming to Universal Studios. The parks press release on the new attraction reads When the ride is over, guests will be able to customize footage from their experience and compile it into a take-home music video.
Elsewhere there have been a few reports that the Duelling Dragons attraction no longer gives guests the opportunity to select the track they wish to ride, Ice or Fire. To make sure guests with Express Passes get to ride quickly they are exclusively riding on the Ice side while everyone else now has to use Fire.
We will almost certainly be getting the Hulk video if it is available when we go, but I'm not too impressed by the limitations put on the Duelling Dragons ride. One of the attractions of this was that my daughter and I used to enjoy doing one, then the other, straight after one another and pick our favourite track.
