Hulk Express Queue question

I remember reading about 6 months ago that the Express Pass queue for Hulk had moved and now merged into the regular line, just before the split for the front row line. Is this still true? Or have they returned it to using the back steps, where the single rider line accessed the station?

TIA!

Well, I don't know about currently, but this was taking place last summer when I visited. I have a feeling it will stay this way as well for two reasons.

1) Guests no longer have to go "backstage" to access the stairs. While I liked walking around under the track, not was never the best option. The first time I went through the line, I thought I made a wrong turn and ended up someplace I did not belong.

2) Now express guests can enter the "front row" line, which is something that could not happen the old way.

However, while I do like this new way, it causes some problems.

1) Merging with other guests. During my time there last summer, they had a team member blocking the normal line while express people entered the main line once. The other time I went, this was not the case. Needless to say, the main line was not very happy that they were having people "cut" in front of them.

2) The wait time for express guests has more than doubled. You merge into the main line as close to the start of the ride is possible, but it is still a little ways back. Both times last summer when the normal line had a 60 minute wait, I waited nearly 20 minutes. While the time was reduced, I am used to the 5 minute waits most other rides offer...10 minutes tops.

This sounds horrible. I didn't mind giving up the ability to wait for the front in order to basically have no wait. Last time I used Express at Hulk in January last year, I just had to wait for the next train.

I really don't like the idea of having to force your way into the line if there is no one there stopping the standby line or having to wait that much longer.

Yep. When we went 3 weeks ago, you had to merge with regular guests and there was no one there from US letting EP folks in. We had to undo the chain and let ourselves in and as mentioned above, people thought we were cutting in line.

I told the guy at the head of the line there was going to eventually be trouble if they didn't post someone there.
