Hulk closing soon

So I guess my suspicions were correct - this is shaping up to be - perhaps - a completely new ride, what with the tracks coming down. That explains the lengthy closure.

I'm surprised there haven't been more rumours/info floating around out there about what is planned. It seems B&M remains involved, and that they may actually design the new launch system (they built the original Hulk, but not the tire launch - that was done in-house, I believe). And, yes, there is speculation the new trains will have the soft "vest" restraints that are a huge improvement over the old horsecollars.

We're there next week - it will be really strange to see IOA without Hulk. It was such an intrinsic part of their skyline.

It's not completely new ride, just full track replacement.

Does that mean it's not being re-profiled? Because if it is - and I haven't heard anything one way or the other - with a new launch, trains, station, queue, etc., it seems to me it would be a completely new ride.

Having said that, I hope you're right, and the design, which I quite like, stays the same.

Full track replacement to handle new weight of trains. Plus audio and video systems. Also rumored lights on track. We will have to see.

Hulk is a iconic roller coaster heard around the world from one of the best builders out there. I find it very hard to believe they will change the layout.

It must be so quiet in Tower 1 of RPR......we always woke up to the 'whooshing' sound of Hulk running its test cars!! :)

Nope, now you hear inconsiderate people yelling and running in the hallways for early entry.
