My sister just rang and told me she has cancer, I am absolutely gutted, upset and for some reason really annoyed. its skin cancer and they dont know exactly how much of her skin is effected, surely most of her face, and they dont know as to what degree, or if its spread, I mean Im sitting here in tears immediatly thinking I am going to lose my sister, and I know chances are I wont but Im scared. Shes only 34, shes milital about wearing sunscreen even on sunny days here, and shes got two small girls, plus she just lost her mother in law to cancer (she died within three week of diagnosis).

I love my sister to pieces and this has shocked me to my toes

What can I say? I cannot make it better but I hope that it is a comfort to know that you are being thought of all around the country. The thing now is to be strong and positive for your sister, she will appreciate your strength and support through the days ahead. I wish your sister a speedy and successful treatment.

You must be feeling horrid right now. I lost my mother prematurely to cancer, a couple of years ago, and I really know how you feel....

Rest in the knowledge that Skin Cancer is usually pretty contained. A number of my friends have had cancerous spots on their body or face that have been removed with no problems following.
I know there is no point saying "dont worry" as you will anyway.. but dont worry beyond what you already know -

Anna Im so sorry, I truly hope everything works out ok. Sending you lots of hugs and pixie dust.

Make sure she gets seen to quickly and if she has to wait see if she can pay to have it removed quicker. My mum paid to have her skin cancer taken away immediately. £500 well spent in my opinion. It would have been the same doctor doing the operation but he did it a lot quicker than with the National Health.

Hopefully her area will see her immediately and she will be cured just like my mum has been.
