Well he is home. He looks better then he was although he is a bit out of it due to the medication. He ate the food we gave him no problem & wanted more but we are only giving him small amounts to begin with.

He had more blood tests done today & they hope to have the results by Friday which is when we have to take him for a consultation.

He is curled up on the sofa fast asleep. I'm just glad he is back as we really thought he wouldn't be coming back.

We ust have to take it a day at a time.

Glad he's home Nikki .I have 4 cats+they mean the world to me,the same as your dog means so much to you.We nearly lost one of ours about 5yrs ago,he fell out the window of our flat we used to live in(we lived on the 5th floor)he had a dislocated jaw(which was hanging),4teeth knocked out,internal bleeding+his front leg was twisted almost backwards.He made a full recovery in 2weeks although left with a twisted/deformed leg+paw+will end up with arthiritis in his jaw.He will be 16yrs this month.I hope your friend makes a full recovery just like mine did .x.

I have just had a call from the vet, she has said he is totally a different dog. He is lively & has perked up dramatically. She is pleased at the moment & he hasn't even needed a painkiller this morning which is good news, although they have given food he hasn't touched but he is very fussy about what he eats so she isn't too worried about that. If he stays like this they will release him today & monitor him from home. Which is great news, he isn't out of the woods completely but it is positive news & fingers crossed he can come home today.

I think if he can come home will help as he will be back in his own environment etc.

We took our dog back to the vet for a checkup today & got the result of his tests he had on Wednesday. His Liver function test & Cushings disease both cameback negative which is good, they are waiting for the results of the pancreatitis.

He has practically been given a clean bill of health, the vet is surprised about how well he is, apparently he started to drive them mad when he was better on Wednesday I can imagine that too.

All he has wanted to do since he has been home is to play or wind me up by pretending he wants to go out & runs of around the house when I open the door.

Its been an amazing turn around

That's really good news, Nikki. My brother had to have their dog put to sleep on Monday and, needless to say, he and my s-i-l are devastated, so give your boy an extra hug.
