Huge oops.... Help!!!

I went to make my WDW payment online and indicated that I wanted to make a partial payment, filled everything in, agreed to the T&Cs, clicked "submit" and got an error message about my address. I filled that in, but didn't realize the system had defaulted back to "payment in full" until I got the confirmation. I really cannot afford to pay the entire balance right now. If I call first thing tomorrow can the reverse the charge? I'm so scared......

Call Disney ASAP and see if they can do anything. If they refuse, then call your credit card company or bank and tell them what happened. The can do a reversal for you. It may be in the form of a chargeback, which can take up to 60 days but it can be done. Be sure to inform Disney that you will have to do a chargeback if they can't help you.

If a payment can be made, it can be reversed. Sometimes its hard getting companies to turn loose of that money once its in their hands.

I just had something similiar happen to me...

My car payment is due on the 11th of the month. I had just set up auto payments through the loan site, since they kept calling me asking me to do it, so I figured why not.

The June payment was the first time the auto payment was made. I logged into the site on the 11th to verify the payment...and saw NOTHING! No pending, no processing, nada. So I figured it was a glitch(July was set up as scheduled)so I made a regular payment..

Well Monday rolls around, and I check my account in the morning...and I see negative dollars You got it...car payment deducted 2x! Called the car company, who tried to say well now you not due to Aug...nevermind the fact I am broke...they say it will take 2 days...So I call Credit Union(my bank) and they say they can have it back by 5p THAT DAY! So I filled out the forms, and by 4p, they refunded me both payments(They had to)...and all was OK again..I then re-made a payment...what a pain...

So long story short...Call your bank...Call whoever does the payments...YMMV, but they can at least reverse the charge for you..

Once again, cast members were extremely helpful. If you have a problem, don't hesistate to call!

FTR: My balance isn't due until early September, which may have been why my request was handled without any issues.

Disney is generally always very easy to work with. I'm sure this type of situation happens quite frequently. Glad to hear it all worked out so easily for you.

I always freak out over this type of thing. And when I freak out, DH ALWAYS sends me an email with this or makes me sing and dance to it- even if I don't want to.

Very similar thing happend to us except it was our mortgage payment! Imagine getting hit with that debit twice on the same day. OUCH!! Luckily we had just enough to cover it and we lived really, really cheaply the rest of that month.
