So, the list of things that, as of this week, are new in my life.

- Quit my job (almost 5 years there)
- Moving to a city in a state I have never lived
- Moving in with my boyfriend .. first time doing this.
- No job in the new location

I am stressing. Nervous, but excited. Anyone ever done this, needed an out and just decided to throw caution to the wind and find out what is in store next? Advice for moving in with the boyfriend (who is new as well .. new boyfriend, not new in my life. We were going to do this before we were a couple).

Logically, on paper, this whole thing looks stupid. I agree. I think it is the right move though. AHHHH! Ill be OK right?

not these particular changes, but yes...all within a few months of each other my family:
*I quit 1 job and started a new uncertain job
*started homeschooling my kids (after swearing I'd NEVER do that)
*DH started a new job
*had 2 major injuries

SO, while I've not had the particular changes you're going through, I do know how scary it can be to make multiple major changes at once. Just know that you CAN do it, and though some days you may wonder how or why (I remember several times wondering WHY I had done this to myself) having the love and support of your BF will help tremendously. Best of luck!

Good luck with the job search. The previous job must have been something pretty bad to leave it and make such a drastic leap.

I took a leap of faith once. I quit my job at Disney when offered a job by another company...which moved me out to Las Vegas. For someone who doesn't travel that move scared the heck out of me (but now living back in Florida).

Just keep a positive attitude and keep busy! Sitting around the house doing nothing is not good for a person's morale. :)

When I met Gabby online, I left my job of 4 years to move to a state that I had never lived in to move into an apartment that she found for us to live in and I had no job in the place where we moved in together back then. That was a little over 11 years ago. The only part that stuck was the girl. I couldn't find gainful employment in FL at the time. I was offered a chance to move back and take my old job back, with a raise. I jumped on it with both feet. Thankfully, by the time that offer came about, Gabby was pretty sure that I wasn't a psycho, so she agreed to leave FL with me.

We recently have undergone a huge amount of life changes and just moved to FL again, but it's better this time and I still got to keep working for my employer of the past 15 years. Thank God for technology, because otherwise, I would most likely be unemployed right now.

The one thing that will most likely change your life for the worst is quitting your job. I know these days, finding a good job is tough, hang in there go and ask for your job back or find a new one fast! Finding ways to deal with stress are not easy. It's best to get out there and work now, don't worry about pay. Just find something now and then start searching for a better job. Summer is only a few months away, lots of new jobs to be had. Just about everyone I know in life who stops going to work, goes down hill. When I quit my jobs, I started heading in the wrong direction. I drove back to Massachusetts, begged for my job back, moved in with my parents and things started getting better. If you like going to disney you better have some money buddy.
