Hucifer and Dan's flipping huge trip report *Last 3 days/Epilogue! 10/9, pgs 36-38*

Welcome back Wendy!

I can only surmise that Barbara and Chef T saw your name tags and thought you were Cast Members. :p

So Dan, the Brains of This Operation, has an idea.

Uh Wendy??

Maybe we aren't twins after all. I could have sworn we established at the outset of this little adventure that the women are ALWAYS the brains of any operation??!!! :teeth:

I know but I have to admit, sometimes he IS the Brains. Maybe you got more of the smarts when our brains split.

Hey Kim and Mal!

And Lou...that would explain a few things...hmm...

Subscribing...I dont know how I missed this one......Loving it so far and Im sorry for your loss. :grouphug:

(thanks for telling ME, Lou! ;) )

First off, I wanted to express my condolences to you... I know it's hard to lose someone so close.

Secondly, thank you for another great chapter! I've been wanting to try Boma, and I'm working on convincing DH that it would be worth it. Those deep-fried oreos might just do the trick! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to hearing more about your trip!

Wendy. I too am sorry for your loss and had no idea until I read your new installment tonight. Hang in there....

Might I say that I feel a certain kinship to ya! Thanks for the BOMA review as I my dear, have ressies there in August. Oh the free dining. I am a vegetarian, baby and I am hoping Chef T can do me like he did you! Wow when someone pms ya' let me know what all those things were on the ginormous stirfry~

I did see Defending Your Life, twice. It was hysterical and Albert Brooks was hysterical. Excellent, excellent dining comparison. I am really really excited to try BOMA now.

Thanks, so much! You are groovylicious! :yay:

Wendy sorry for your loss, I hope you and your family are doing ok and taking comfort in each other.

And also thank you for your report...we have been on a Jiko jag and not gone back to Boma's in the last three trips. Your report reminded me just how amazing they are!

Welcome back, Wendy. I was sorry to read of your loss.

What an amazing report of Boma. I have it on the schedule for October and am determined to make it this time. As my 3yo DD says, that dish was "SO FUGE!!!" It looked delicious too. I can't wait! I look forward to reading more.

Glad your back to the Dis.

I"m glad you loved Boma. It is one of our favorites along with Jiko. It's great to see how they wen't all out for you that night. Those deep fried Oreos looked awesome. :)

I have just lifted my arms up to the heavens in thanks! I have been eagerly awaiting, this, the most recent installment in the most delicious trip report I've ever tasted! But I'm not stuffed yet! More, more, more!

Hey there!! Now I know what all those special plates were on peoples tables at Boma!!
Great pics!!

My condolences also Wendy.

After looking at that huge plate of vegetarian food I think I can identify the bean sprouts on the top and the small square things look like fried tofu. But it all looks delicious, especially those fried oreos!

Great report and can't wait to read more.

gotta stop getting hooked on TR's!!! Your Boma adventure brought back such memories. We were on our first cruise several years ago & I asked for a fish dish the kitchen had run out of. No biggie as I had already pigged out on the appetizers. Well, they brought a substitute I didn't really like so I sort of pushed it around the plate. The Maitre'd noticed and made the kitchen prepare the original dish just for me. In the meantime, the waiter went to the captain's table and brought me a sampler of everything he had!!! I think I ate for about 3 1/2 hrs. The rest of the night was kind of fuzzy!!!

Love the TR. Thanks for sharing, :thumbsup2

I just read thru all 15 pages!! :thumbsup2 Great trip report so far!! I've really enjoyed reading all about October at the World since we're visiting for the first time in October this year!! :teeth:

Frankly, I’m just excited about getting back to the Animal Kingdom Lodge because the resort is exotic and loaded with animals, just like Dan’s boxer shorts.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I've missed you Wendy.
I sure wish I was going on the girls only trip. I can't wait to read all the TRs that come from that. :thumbsup2

I was wondering if anyone caught that. :teeth: As far as the girls' trip...my sister and I come up with our own brand of mischief.

Just want to thank everyone's condolences. I appreciate every one. :)

Hey Ron from Michigan! Glad to see you here.

Horsegirl...my veggie pal...I do remember that the entire dish had some sort of BBQ sauce on it...it had tofu and some green beans, but honestly I couldn't identify most of it. But oh my it was so good. Angelrose, those weren't bean sprouts, they were crunchy like a chip. But you were right about the tofu! I can't imagine what that big hunk was in the middle of the plate.

Pooch...so you know how I felt. You want to eat everything to show your appreciation, but you are too full to do it. But those deep fried Oreos...holy crap...worth every pound they put on.

Hey everybody...thanks for reading! I love all of your replies. Dan told me he enjoys reading them too. Especially Lou's. Must be a guy thing.

Hey, where's DisUnc? That guy never misses an installment! :confused3

Sorry I am late reading!!!!! Please, please, please Forgive me! In the midst of Flood ravaged NE PA here. We are fine! I am very very very high on top of a mountain....The neighbors aren't so Fine! :scared1:

ANNNNNNYYYYYYYYYYYYHOOOOOOOOOO! YEAH HUCIFER IS BACK (..and better than ever) :cheer2: ! Hope you are doing well? :grouphug:
PERFECT UPDATE...and worth the wait! :thumbsup2

Great addition here! You were loosing me :guilty: with all the VEGGIE excitement! Me need MEAT tawk! HOWEVER.....that ALL turned around with the DEEP FRIED OREOS!!!! OMG! OOOOOOOOOOO MMMMMMMMMMMM GGGGGGGGGG! There is only one thing BETTER than MEAT...and that is OREOS (and Entenmanns Rich frosted covered doughnuts)! I now have reason to swim outta here and bravely defeat the Delaware River the Poconos and make a AVP for Boma's for my trip next month! :thumbsup2

;)
