Hubby & Prego do Disney in August! - Final Thoughts (5/25)

Yay! I'm so glad you're back and feeling well! :goodvibes I'm excited to see pictures of your pregnant belly--I can't believe you only have a few months to go! I'm glad you got to ride the safari (and it's a good thing you were in the front so that you didn't get bumped around as badly as you would have in the back). Thanks for your review of TH. I've been curious about it. I can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2

Hey everyone! My girlfriends (and mom) threw me a baby shower this past Saturday. So I wanted to share some pics with you all!
Here's a shot of me opening gifts in my "princess" chair (with one of my oldest and bestest friends, Laura fulfilling the glorious job of writing down who gave what!).

Here's the group shot of me and my girls (minus Laura, she had to leave early to tend to her own little baby).

And here I am with my mom, on the left and my mother-in-law.

I ate wwwaaaaayyyyy too much cake from this weekend (in fact I took it to work today because I kept eating it!). So I had to share a picture of the sweet (and delicious!) cake!

FYI, E is for "Emma", out little angel's name! :lovestruc
It was a pretty exhausting weekend, so I'm actually going to lay down (yes, officially old and pregnant). I should be able to continue to the rest of my AK day this week!

We loooved Tusker House! We had an early reservation at 8:05 so there wasn't really much of a wait when we checked in. We're going there again in Feb!

I wish we had gotten there earlier (or had an earlier reservation). We had another breakfast later that week around 8 and that was much better!

yeah welcome back, hope you and your princess are keeping well.
Thanks!! We're doing great! :cloud9:

I just read your entire TR. I am also a teacher (1st grade). Congratulations on your new baby!:goodvibes I am looking forward to reading more!:thumbsup2

Emma is such a cute name; I bet you are getting so excited to meet her! :lovestruc

I just found your TR...You guys are the cutest!! :) I'm having fun reading and your belly is too cute. Congrats!!

On with our Animal Kingdom adventure!
Last I left you, we were on our wild journey through the Maharajah Jungle Trek! Lots of beautiful animals! Here are a few more pics!
Gotta love the kitties!

Does that guy remind you of anyone back home? Ha!

Watch the tongue, buddy!

We finished up then headed over toward Expedition Everest. On the way, there was huge crowd watching these guys. They were hilarious!

We got J two Fast Passes since I wouldn't be able to ride. There was a little drama outside the FP entrance (don't ya just love it!).
This family was trying to get into the line, but the attendant said their daughter was too short. The dad was NOT happy since they had wasted a FP for it. He was demanding to speak to management and loudly expressing his frustrations. While they were belly-aching, the FP line grew longer and longer! I was near the front while J was actually in line. Next thing I know, some people are starting to "cut" past all the drama. I politely intervened (along with a few other folks) to inform them the line was way in the back, there was just a slight hold up.
Eventually, J got through the line and was on his way! I decided to head towards the gift shop at the end of EE to wait for him. This is where things got a little hard for me...
As I waited for J, every person that passed by me was laughing and expressing how much fun the ride was and how much they loved it! I started to feel sorry for myself and got depressed about how I was missing out on some of the fun. I think at one point I literally started to cry (just a little) and I dwelled on the fact I may not return to Disney for a long time. J soon got off the ride and found me. I told him what was wrong and he said he didn't have to ride it again. I told him to go ahead since we had the FP. I should also mention, it was getting REALLY hot outside (so a pregnant lady who's a little bummed along with being hot and miserable at theme park, I was ready to go).
I did calm down and came back to my senses on how lucky I was to be a Disney World (even if I couldn't ride everything). Plus J did promise he would take me back someday (it had better be soon, ha!).
We walked through the rest of AK, but I was pretty miserable by this point and we were both ready to go. We did walk through Dinoland USA. Lots of games and little kid rides.
IMG_1914.jpg

We made our way to the bus stop and as soon as we got there, the rain started... BIG time!! We had made it just in time to miss the storm!
Once we got back to our resort, we spent a little time at Luna Park Pool. The slide was awesome! I know some people are freaked out by clowns, but this slide was great!! I think I went down it a half a dozen times!
We then headed back to our room where I took a little nap and relaxed for a bit. Once we got up, I told J to pick what we should do for the evening (I like to live by the moment at times, although not as often as J does :lmao: ). We decided we would head over to Epcot and hang out. I know I've said this before, I LOVE Epcot!! For some reason, it has always been my favorite park (although some people I know find it kind of boring). World Showcase is by far my favorite!
So we got ourselves cleaned up and headed over to WS around 6:15. We were a little hungry and decided to stop off in France.

IMG_1920.jpg

I knew we needed to check out some shops, but I defintely wanted to head towards the Patisserie for some snacks! I think everyone else had the same idea...
IMG_1923.jpg

We finally made it through and I decided on the ham and cheese croissant (thank you Soleil for the suggestion!!). Oh my gosh, it was heavenly!!
Needless to say, we started into it before I had the camera out. But we managed to put it back together, sort of.
IMG_1924.jpg

I highly recommned this for anyone who likes good food! ;)
Up next!
More sights (and food) at Epcot!!

First of all, I love the name Emma! So cute. Emma is my favorite Jane Austen book, and if I didn't have a sister with a very similar name, I'd love to name my daughter that one day! :cutie:

I'm sorry you got a little bummed out at the Everest exit. I would have too. That had to be so tough at times! But you're right--nothing can spoil the fact that you're at Disney World!! :thumbsup2 Aaahhh. I love Epcot. What a wonderful evening! I can't wait to read more! :goodvibes

You're way more polite than I am. I gotta be honest, I probably would have walked right around that family rather than forming a line behind them. I give you props for that! :thumbsup2

Sorry you got bummed about not being able to ride Everest. You'll be back soon enough and it will be Emma's first trip and you'll remember it for the rest of your life! :goodvibes

Just read your report so far lovely pictures and report and congratulations on being pregnant with a girl Emma is a lovely name. :goodvibes

Aww Emma Jane is sooo pretty!!!

I love the picture you took of the Beauty and the Beast stained glass.

I've loved the name Emma for a long time! It seems to be a pretty popular name these days, which made me reconsider for about five minutes. But J and I finally said Emma was it!
It was my one major meltdown of the trip, so I guess that was pretty good! :lmao: J is such a patient hubby!

No kidding! I would have been a lot less polite if I had actually been in line. I just felt so bad for the Cast Member.
That's the mantra I keep repeating to myself. We'll return one day, hopefully very soon!!

Great update. Love your pictures.

Thanks so much!! I got a few more still to download!

Thank you and welcome aboard!! :grouphug:

I love the picture you took of the Beauty and the Beast stained glass.

I LOVE her name! We've received a few embroidered gifts and it's so much fun!! :lovestruc
Thanks! That means a lot coming from you since you took such beautiful pics on your trip!!:thumbsup2

Hey everyone! What a busy (yet wonderful!) time of year! Thanksgiving break flew by, even though I had the whole week off! The great news is that we have two weeks of school left until Winter Break!! It's also hard to believe that we have about seven weeks left until little Emma arrives!! But we're super excited! Just gotta finish organizing the nursery...
Anyway, I last posted about our evening at Epcot! We had just finished a wonderful ham & cheese croissant (still drooling over it now) and then decided to continue through World Showcase. Our next stop was Morocco!
IMG_1927.jpg

Last time I was at Disney, we didn't spend much time here. So I wanted to really explore it!
IMG_1929.jpg

IMG_1932.jpg

Check out who's signing autographs!!
IMG_1931.jpg

Smile!
IMG_1935.jpg

We decided it was time to eat again. So we stopped off at Tangeirine Cafe and split a sliders meal (had lamb, chicken, and veggie) with Baklava.
IMG_1936.jpg

It was awesome! J and I love Mediterranean cuisine and this was fantastic!
As we were enjoying our lovely meal, the clouds had rolled in and the next thing you know a HUGE rain storm blew threw! Needless to say, the restaurant was soon very crowded!
IMG_1938.jpg

J and I finished our meal a few minutes later, but not without these two younger boys staring at us! I know they thought they might have been "politely" waiting, but it was a little awkward with them watching us eat! So we finished and offered our seats to them then stood around as the rain calmed down.
IMG_1940.jpg

Since we had our ponchos and it had turned into a lite sprinkle, we decided it was time to venture out!
We stopped off at Japan to walk around. I didn't get many pics since it was still raining outside, but it was really cool to walk around there!
IMG_1942.jpg

We walked past the American Adventure and contemplated getting a funnel cake for a minute, but decided we were still a little too full from dinner. So we then headed over towards Italy!
IMG_1947.jpg

IMG_1946.jpg

We didn't spend too much time since tomorrow was planned for nothing but Epcot, so we then wandered over towards Germany.
We walked through several of the shops and found some cute things!
IMG_1949.jpg

Along with some "necessary" items!
IMG_1948.jpg

Soon after, Imagination started! This surprised me since the weather had been yucky! We got to see a few minutes of it as we headed back towards our hotel. Not very good shots, I'm sorry...
IMG_1952.jpg

IMG_1954.jpg

So we decided to enjoy it and I put my camera away. We found a little spot right infront of Italy and my eyes immediately noticed a gelato stand!
"Uh, J. Baby wants ice cream!"
They were closing down and were gracious enough to serve us! I decided on pistachio (which is one of J's favs!). Of course I have no picture, but you can trust that it was delicious!
We made our way back towards the Boardwalk recounting our good (and busy) day. Needless to say, I was a little bummed since tomorrow would be our last full day at Disney! :sad1:
Up next, a full day at Epcot with lots of plans! But someone's tummy will change things a bit...

What a great evening! I just love World Showcase. I wish I could have spent more time there. Isn't it the worst when people watch you eat?! It's just awkward. It was bad enough when people were standing at our table while we ate at CR. I can't imagine them standing there waiting for you to get up... :headache: I'm glad you got your ice cream!! And I can't believe Emma will be here in only 7 weeks! :goodvibes
