I was so proud of him! He was the highest scorer after the fastest finger person lost out....He made it to the $250,000 level but then lost...he won all the pins, hat & shirt and most of all, had an absolute blast!!!

What a neat experience! I'm way too chicken to try for the hot seat, but I always root for the people up there. Good for your DH!

I'm jealous! I made it to #5 on the leader board--just can't get any higher so far. Maybe at Christmas--I'd love the pins, hat, shirt and especially jacket!

He got all the pins up to $32,000 level, then that was it, because since he didn't "Quit" then he lost all the higher up pins.

I also made it into the Hot Seat a few years ago, and it was the highlight of the trip. I missed the $250,000 question but I had a great time! Since the show has gone off the air in primetime, I think the attraction is sometimes overlooked but it's still a lot of fun.

Was he nervous? I am consistently in the top three but when I get to #1 - I always throw the game so I don't have to go down. I don't want the pressure. I get enough of that when I'm not on vacation.

Last time we were there - my 2 son's and I were all in the top 10. Son #1 made it to the hot seat the trip before that and not only had the pressure but technical difficulties causing a short delay.

Millionaire is our #1 attraction at MGM. I can't wait to go back.

Congratulations. I love getting onto the hot seat. I have been on seven times now and have never made it by means of the fastest finger question. A past million point winner has given me some tips and I am improving on my fastest finger scores. It usually does not matter in that I get on the hot seat every trip.

What is the question that you husband lost on?

Being on the hot seat is a blast. You are nervous for a minute but once you start focusing on the questions, things get easy.

My DH got in the hot seat last week too. I made it to the #1 spot after they ran out of time. We figure the secret is to randomly select the buttons for the first question and after that keep you finger on the buttons and be fast and accurate. DH lost on:
What is Gustav Klimt's The Kiss -- a painting or sculpture. I thought that was kind of tough for the $8,000 question. He got hat and pins though. Wouldn't it be nice if Disney took a souveneir picture of them in the Hot Seat. I took a picture of empty Hot Seat and I'm going to glue his pic in it. It was so much fun, we're addicted now.

Great going , Millionaire is such a great show to play at WDW. I made it to the number 2 spot in Sept. when time ran out. So I will be trying for the number 1 spot again next month.

I got in the Hot Seat on Oct 12th. It was awesome!! I had never even been close before, but this time when I saw the numbers going up for 2-10 of the top ten, I had a feeling I might be #1, and I was!!! (Thanks to this board and a tips thread for help getting fastest fingers.) My inlaws were there with us, and my parents and husband. I saw #538 and JUMPED out of my seat and yelled "That's Me!!" then ran down the steps, we were in the top row. As I was climbing into the seat I started thinking, "wait a minute here! What am I doing???" It almost didn't seem real. (If any of you reading this was there, I'm the one he had to keep telling to push my hat back because they couldn't see my face, and it was my mother in laws birthday that day, so we took some time getting the camera guy to show the right person on the screen so we could say "happy birthday".

I am so quiet most of the time, and I was a little nervous, but it really wasn't that bad! We had asked them when we went in if they could mention it was her birthday, but it didn't look like they were going to be able to,so I kept hoping there was some way we could, thenBINGO! My opportunity.

I probably will never forget the 32,000 point question I missed (Hey, Paul, my "phone a complete stranger" partner, it's ok, I thought it might have been Kate Winslet, too, but I just kept picturing Jamie Lee Curtis sitting on a couch. I should have went with it.
Who does Great Britain refer to as Lady Huden-Guest? I should have known, a few months earlier I had seen a biography on her and she mentioned that thanks to her husband the Baron, Jamie Lee Curtis is a Lady!!! I said Kate Winslet, though. Always go with your gut!!!

It was a really neat experience. They let me get back in the Hot Seat between shows and my family took pictures of me in it!! The highlight of that trip for me! It was a special trip all around thanks to so many tips I've gotten from this site. Illumination's Cruise, Fastest Fingers tip, Special birthday greeting from resort, viewing fireworks from Tomorrowland bridge, go to Adventureland for photo op first thing during MNSSHP to avoid long lines for photo, and PS breakfast at MK first seating to avoid lines in Fantasyland. I just love the DIS.

Millionaire is on my DEFINITE list to check out. While I was a mild fan of the show when it was on primetime, I usually spend more of my time playing NTN Trivia. Just love collecting meaningless pieves of knowledge whenever I can.

Last year when we went to DL, my wife made it to the top 5, but no further. I'm hoping to best that this time around! Where is this "tips" board that was mentioned previously?

My Joe was the Phone a Complete Stranger on 10/19 for the last Millionare show of the day!

We were walking down Mickey Avenue when a CM called us over...there's a phone outside on the building that says "Phone a Complete Stranger" on it! He handed it to Joe...his question was something about name what city this district is in...he said Paris and when they asked him how sure he was he said 25%!! You could hear the audience laughing!
We don't know if the contestant went with Joe's answer or not but he got a button for playing!:cool1:
