Hubby/kids will be away for long weekend. Where should I go?

In August I'll have from Thursday night through Sunday free of the kids and my hubby and I'd like to go somewhere. I'm trying to convice my sister to go somewhere with me (she wants to go to Las Vegas) but I don't know if she'll be able to. If I have to go somewhere alone do you have any suggestions as to where to go? I don't want to go anywhere where I'll have to drive around.

How far can you go, and how much money do you have?The Jersey shore is close by, and not too expensive. Vegas is nice too, and I bet you can find a lot of great deals!

It's mid August but I just went to Hershey and really wouldn't go just on my own without the kids. I also do not want to go WDW.

I would do a spa getaway then. Imagine being pampered for a whole day/weekend?

Toronto! LOTS to do. See shows, shop til you drop, eat everything in sight, get a massage at a hotel spa, go to the top of world's tallest free standing structure, the list is endless.

The spa at the Hotel Hershey is amazing. Or how about checking if a hotel in Philly or another close city has a spa. Most cities have great summer weekend hotel packages. You could do the spa, relax, shop, sight see etc.
