Hubba Hubba, just me and my DH!

Your trip sounds so nice! I am trying to talk my husband into a trip for the two of us next year as an anniversary gift. The only catch is we could NEVER tell my son! Then, I'm afraid the guilt would get to me and before you know it we are taking another big family trip to Disney! Hey, there are worse things. I can't wait to read more.:surfweb: Maybe I'll be inspired to plan that 2nd honeymoon afterall!

I think we should all take trips without our kids once in awhile. I know how hard it is to plan breaks, lug all that stuff around when you do have them with you. I am looking forward to this one!

Enjoying your report & getting inspired to start my own....

Please start one! I see your have just over 7 months until yours. Where are you staying this time around?

You've inspired me enough to take the plunge - I've done it - started last night. I just don't know how to include a shortcut for it in my posts like you. Can you help me out there? If you'd like to take a peak at it (remember its still in the works;) ) I called it "Planning a alittle Magic - Our Pre-trip Report". This time we are giving POFQ a try.

YAY! I can't wait to look!
As for the link to it...
In your signature, type out the title... all nice and neat, the way you want it to look. Go to your actual thread, copy the address. Then go back to your title and hightlight it. There is a blue globe with a chain link on it in the toolbar of your signature. Press that and now paste the address in that space. Now the title of your thread (in your signature) should have a link attached. Wha la! :wizard:

I just got our Halloween party tickets in th email yesterday!!! What a great sight to see in the mailbox! They are cute, too. Back in Dec 05 when I went to the Christmas party they were just the ticket stock they use for park passes. Not the ones from the room package, but the ones people get for their day passes. These are mostly a black and white picture, with the main character in color. One of them says "Where the glass slipper always fits" and Cinderella and the Prince are in color. The other one says "Where everyone screams at the sight of a mouse" and Mickey is in color. Very cute, but I guess I was still hoping that they changed the card stock out for the holidays.

All ADRs are made and I got everything that I was hoping for, down to the 30 minute range. I called on my 180th day and lucked out completly. I wouldn't do it any other way.

This Wednesday will be day 99!!! Finally down to 2 digits!

Hey there! Enjoying your pre trip report! You will love CSR. It is a great resort! It has a romantic feel to it w/ the white sandy beaches. Also if you haven't made note of your anniversary on your reservation be sure and do so as they could do something special for you! We will be going for free dining w/ kids in tow but we'll also be celebrating our anniversary.

Looking forward to more!

I just had to tell ya! I was reading your pre trip to DH and was going on about how nice it must be for the two of you going w/ no kids. And DH says, "Why don't we go down in Feb?" :scared1: Ok, not a problem! Although we'll just stay in a value for that trip, I can't wait! :woohoo:

So, I helped in planning your next "no kids" trip?! Wow! I wish my husband would just bring things up like that. You are very lucky in that regard.

This will be our first trip alone since the honeymoon. I can't wait! And I have heard so many nice things about CSR, I'm excited.

And I see that we are "neighbors".

We stayed at CS last May....we had a corner room across from the pool...it was great...we would go to the pool at night or first thing in the morning.

You are right about the buses...they were almost always empty...we had a few trips we were the only ones on the bus.

It is a very pretty resort!

I hope so, even in September. I know there will be 2 conventions there during our stay, I don't know if they overlap though. One is the IRS something or another and the other one is a bunch of accountants! So, either way I hope they are the quiet kind!

Can you believe I started my pre-trip report in January!? Call me a little obsessed, will ya?

Well, it's finally here... almost. I just received my travel documents and ME luggage tags in the mail today. I did my little "happy dance" in the street and then I brought them into the house so I could read them over. The ME booklet is very neat, and well written. I really can't see how people would get lost or that they don't understand.

And on the subject of not understanding people... don't you just hate those threads that start "Pick a resort for me!" or "Tell me where to eat!" or "Should I do this?" ??? There is so much information to be had on the DIS and the DISboards. Everyone has their own tastes. All of the resorts, restaurants, shows, events, extras are all very descriptive. OK, sorry. That's been bothering me a little lately.

Here's my "happy dance" again for those that missed out on it down by the street...

I just finished our MNSSHP costume shirts today. I am waiting on some patches in the mail. Once I get those, and get them on the shirts - I will post a pic of the finished costumes here.

I have almost everything bought and put away for the trip. New shoes and socks, all my toiletries, rain ponchos, light up bracelets and necklaces, batteries, memory cards and movie camera tapes and GUM! Anything else I am forgetting? I have even started the list of outfits and matched them up with the days in the parks! Even for DH... he hates that!

Talk to you again soon! Only 28 days... and counting!

Did anyone else get a Universal Orlando brochure in with their travel documents? This is really bugging me! Why in the world...?

It's crazy you mentioned that because DW and I were talking the other day about the competition between the two. The chief park competitor for WDW is of course US; at this point they feed off each other and it seems like US is more appealing to families with tweenagers ... DIS/ABC is so large they could easily buy them up but that would erase the competition. Instinct says this is a good thing but if you work in concert with the competition legally (collusion) you are better off! Thus, you get US promotions on Disney stuff ...
