HSBC Direct?

Does anyone have any experience with HSBC Direct. I am looking to open a savings account with some unexpected money I recieved.

They are offering 6.00 APY for any new deposits until April 30th and 5.05 APY after that.

They are FDIC insured but I am interested if anyone has any experience with their Customer Service or if they have had any big scandals that I haven't heard about.

Any info would be great.

No scandals that I know of. I've used HSBC Direct for quite some time for savings only. I've used their customer service a couple of times with no problems.

I opened an online savings account with them too and my checking account is with HSBC as Well. No problems.
