In about a week we will be in Disney and plan to spend a day at HS. I was hoping to see Fantasmic but don't think we will end up staying up that late with kids. We have never been to the Boardwalk area. Is it a close walk from HS and is it worth going to see and grab a bite if we don't have an ADR? We have hoppers but there is a MNSSHP at MK that night so trying to figure out what to do. Thanks!

12 min. walk or take the Friendship boat.
You can try a day-of reservation.

The walk from Studios to the Boardwalk isn't very far at all. If you are feeling tired just take the boat. It makes a couple of stops at Swan/Dolphin and Beach/Yachtclub before the Boardwalk I believe.

It is very close & extremely convenient. We stayed there in May & walked over to either HS or EP almost every night just because it was so convenient. Fantasmic is a great show. If you don't have FP for it, your seat may be farther away or off to the side, but still a great show.

Very short walk or a boat ride, lots of places to eat there, ESPN is cool, there are pizza, bakeries, sea food, and steak places. It's a fun Boardwalk area.

Boardwalk is a nice change of pace from the parks as it is often less crowded.

For us it's not a must do every trip, but it's very scenic, and I'm a sucker for winning a $3 stuffed animal on a $5 side show game!

The Boardwalk is lots of fun . from carnival games to magic acts there's plenty to do !!
