If we have a 7:55 ADR at 50's Prime Time, would that be cutting it too close to see F! at 9:00?

Maybe. Probably. Depends on crowd levels and how long it takes you to get seated. Remember that an ADR is not a "reservation". It allows you to get the "next available table for a party your size". That can be immediate. Or it can be 45 minutes. We have waited in grandma's living room 30-45 minutes each of the last 3 times that we went. (Party of 3 twice and party of 4 once). But that is a small sample size and perhaps the "average" is closer to 10-20 minutes. Either way, you might not get seated until 8:15 which leaves little time to order and eat if you want to get to the theater 15 minutes before the show.

Yeah, I think that's too close. Do you have FP?

We don't, I was going to use my tier 1 for Toy Story.

TP says crowd level 3 that day. I actually didn't know that about ADR's, that's good to know.

I'm not sold on 50's being a must do anyway, so maybe we'd be better off doing QS that day. We don't want to arrive to the park until 3 or so that day, so I'm just trying to figure out timing accordingly

I am doing the same kind of HS day myself. Have 3:45 PM ADRs for 50's and then FP's for after that. If I make it to Fantasmic - great! If not, oh well. :)

Have a great time!!

I know 50's is not an option for it, but have you consiered doing the Fantasmic Dining Package?? You can choose from Mama Melrose, Hollywood and Vine, and Hollywood Brown Derby - might be somethign to consider

Right now I have a 5:30 ADR, but I'm trying to change it so that we can get to the park later, and still coordinate with the show times we want to see. We've never seen F! so we'd like to. The only times available for 50's right now are 4:15 or 7:55. So it's either one of those times, or take the ADR out completely and do QS

I did look at this, and we decided not to simply because of cost.

You haven't got a hope of getting to F! with a 7: 55 ADR. You would be very lucky to be finished eating before 9:00. Especially since PTC s well known to have waits to be seated. And if you are doing F! standby you need to be in line AT LEAST 45 min. before showtime.

Just knowing that 50's has a long wait wants me to cancel my ADR. I think we'll do QS this day for dinner instead. Thanks everyone :)

Why would that make any difference in the timing of a meal in order to get to F! in time?.

Maybe in case OP didn't know she could get the F! dining package on DDP? She mentioned she considered it but decided against because of cost, but if she has the dining plan and didn't realize it was eligible, that might have made a difference.

I don't think that's the case in this situation, but it could be relevant. Worthwhile to ask, at least.

You are correct, we don't have the DDP.
