This is our first time watching the fireworks at HS. Hoping someone has some tips on best places to stand and how long before the show I need to be there.

This is our first time watching the fireworks at HS. Hoping someone has some tips on best places to stand and how long before the show I need to be there.
Just me my DW and 9 year old DS .

You'll need to stand somewhere with a good view of the Hat - the fireworks are shot off behind the Hat. Hollywood Blvd. and the Echo Lake area are good spots.

Plan on looking for a spot at least an hour ahead of time. There is a pre-show on the Hat Stage 15 minutes before the fireworks.

But don't stand too close to the stage/hat, or else you'll have part of the fireworks show blocked.
