I’ve never heard of after-practice snacks for high school. Most of the kids high-tail it out of there after practice; they aren’t encouraged to hang around.
And I hate to be “that” parent, but sweets aren’t necessarily the best option, even healthy-sounding fruits. You don’t know dietary restrictions for most of the players, and it’s really frustrating for a teen to forgo a team treat. My DDs volleyball team has at least 2 diabetics, including a T2 who is trying really hard to manage it by diet and exercise. It’s bad enough when teams have pasta dinners, but snacks after practice — it really makes someone with dietary concerns feel excluded.
